Very clean, helpfull staff

The room was very spacious, clean and plenty on facilities. Slight issue with the TV remote not being very responsive but all in all a very good stay.

Lovely clean room , friendly staff , easy check in and out. Was the perfect escape for our anniversary and hubbys birthday. Communication leading up to the day of check in was perfect too. Thank you to all at The Cube

The check-in was quick and easy. The room was lovely and big and had a lovely view looking out over Birmingham. The extras ordered were loved by my wife as they were a surprise for her. The bathroom had a bit of damage but it did not matter ie damage to bottom of bathroom door, a tiny bit of paint peeling off the wall. The room was very clean. Shower temperature could have been hotter than it was.

Room was booked for 27/28 March. Got a called on the 24th to say the room was unavailable and they were cancelling my room. All alternative hotel prices weee now up 50%. Had to cancel 1 days stay in birmingham and footed a train alteration fee. Will NEVER book at the cube again!

Good to return to The Cube. The breakfast as always was varied and delicious. The bar in the evening had a good vibe.

Room was clean, coffee, tea, biscuits and water was not replaced after the 1st night. Other than that I couldn’t fault it.

Lovely room, clean and large. Staff were approachable and friendly. Great position for theatre and entertainment

Spa not used, shops etc. handy

So conflicted absolutely brilliant location/views but definitely not a luxury hotel Booked a 1 night stay and saw reviews about the air con being broken figured it would be fixed by the time I got there a month or so later. I was wrong On check in the friendly receptionist let me know the air con wasn't working & I could have a fan if needed. Having stayed in some incredibly hot and not air conditioned hotels in the past I figured how bad could it be. It was bad The room was baking. The huge windows that give the amazing views also act as massive radiators and the heat in the room was stifling. The sun obviously hits the windows all day although when I arrived around 4pm the sun had moved off the glass. To the credit of the receptionist my request for a quiet room had been met and I was in a small corridor with only one other room I was able to wedge the door open to let some of the heat out. There were 2 fans, one was broken (plug snapped) when I asked for a replacement I was told they would see what they could do, but saw no replacement nor did I get a call to say they didn't have a spare The room was tired, carpet stained, walls & bathroom dirty Luckily I was visiting for a gig so the room had cooled a bit by the time I got back I slept well & the room was quiet. Check in/check out were easy & the staff I met were friendly Overall I was disappointed. I could have booked elsewhere for less but wanted to treat myself for a special occasion. I won't be back

Lovely location and reasonable price, great breakfast.

The right hand side lift was broken but they both shared the same call button and it was stuck on the RHS lift, meaning we couldn't get into our rooms properly without finding a staff member which was difficult considering it was 00:30. Additional i had no hot water for a shower. Not worth the price i paid and definitely not what i would epect to see from a 4 star hotel

Central location

Great value and 5 minutes walk to carpark. Roof sky bar on 25th floor is very good with fantastic views !!!!!! When it’s open!!!!! Came back from a show at the Hippodrome Theatre (15 minutes away) and the bar was closed, this was 11pm on a Thursday evening. Not happy and nowhere else to go locally.

The worst 4 star hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The room was okay but the lift wasn’t working. The shower in the morning was lukewarm even when running for over 5 minutes. The tv didn’t properly work as couldn’t view the guide! Avoid!

Stay was ok but shower didn’t get hot and towels were stained! Hotel also felt a bit tired and in need of redecoration where there had been damage to walls and ceiling paintwork which Great location though and breakfast was yummy.

Car park did not work. This lead to us having to park outside while we run into reception to ask how this worked. You are not allowed to park right outside the hotel which is not sign posted which results in us having to run from reception as we received a parking ticket. Had to park in a different car park which again we were not made aware you can pre book this with 20% off. They also don't explain that you don't need a ticket and therefore we ended up having to pay for the 2 parking charges costing £40! The spa ect was not explained to us and what they had to offer. The posh restaurant which we booked for on the Sunday especially for the roast at 5pm was shockingly bad! We rushed to get there on time for 5 only when we sat down we were not given the sunday menu so after 10/15 minitues of waiting only until we went up and ask were we told we cant have this and that we could only have 2 course and was limited to what we could have. Also to mention we wanted 10 minutes before a drinks menu was given to us. We ended up walking out and going elsewhere and staff didn't even seem to care or try and stop us from leaving or offer an alternative.
