Posada Real Castillo del Buen Amor — The Castle of Good Love — is aptly named. The original fortress dates back to the 11th century, and in the 14th century it was transformed into a palace. Today, it offers guests a unique opportunity to step back in time while enjoying historic rooms equipped with modern conveniences. Dining in the restaurant — located in the original dungeon — was a highlight. The food was excellent and moderately priced, adding to the overall value of the stay. The castle is conveniently located about 20 minutes outside of Salamanca, making it an ideal retreat while still accessible to the city. The only drawback is accessibility. Due to the historic nature of the castle, there are numerous stairs, which may present challenges for guests with limited mobility. Overall, expect to relax, explore, and fully enjoy the many unique rooms and spaces throughout this remarkable property.

El alojamiento tiene cosas positivas: es un castillo impresionante muy bien restaurado. El desayuno bueno y los salones muy agradables. Por lo demás, tiene pretensiones de Parador pero tiene mucho que mejorar: la decoración de las habitaciones y la calidad del mobiliario y de la ropa de cama es decepcionante, por ejemplo tiene colchones de muelles. Igualmente carece de la calidad en la atención y los detalles que caracterizan a los Paradores. le falta mucho mantenimiento: hay mobiliario con tapicería rota y manchada, etc. Conclusión: el precio está muy por encima de la calidad.

It is a real castle! Absolutely magical. The atmosphere, the accommodations, the breakfast, the staff, both the interior and the exterior; the entire experience was like a fairytale. Thank you for the once in a lifetime!

The Castle was wonderful, what a great place to spend a night. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Food and wine were excellent.

Great property . We went to celebrate our 2nd years wedding anniversary . ( we got married at the castle ) the seems not to care. However thats ok . What really got me worry was the horrible stench at night and in the mornings . Animal poop . Very strong. The smell went even inside the rooms . Thats crazy . We left on day before . Even Our 2 year old daughter was Complaining about it. Please do something . Its a shame such a nice place get downgraded like that .

It’s a castle with cen

Amazing/one-off place, fantastic staff and reasonably priced. Only downside was the pool wasn’t open but other than that highly recommended.
