Excellent room, no fuss check in, friendly staff, really nice breakfast it was piping hot

Ideal location on harbour front overlooking HMS Warrior, Train Station, Bus Station, Gosport Ferry. Easy access to Historic Dockyard and the new Gunwharf Shopping centre. Amazing boutique feel to rooms, great breakfast. Our #1 Pompey hotel.

I arrived exhausted and they were super helpful, explained everything I needed to know and even made me a pot of coffee to take to my room even though the kitchen was closed. Secure parking so I didn't have to worry about my car that was packed ready for the ferry to France early the next morning. And they also served me breakfast earlier than usual so that I could get to the ferry terminal (which is only 5 minutes drive away) on time for the early ferry. All round really kind and helpful, I'll definitely stay again when I'm in Portsmouth.

Beautiful little boutique hotel. I havent had such fluffy hotel towels in a long time! Location couldn't be better for sightseeing and transportation. We arrived on the train and the hotel is right across the street. Taxis and buses readily available. Lots of great shopping in the area. Plenty of choices for dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Full English breakfast was included and very good. I would recommend this hotel for any occasion.

This little hotel was an unexpected gem. It overlooks the harbor and is situated close to a travel terminal, boat, train, bus, cab. A step further away was a new outlet mall with lots restaurants. It is also very close to the entrance to the Royal naval dockyards. We had a clear view of HMS Warrior from our window. The room was large, with a slightly quirky decor. The new en suite bathroom was well thought out. A large part of the hotels charm had to be the ground floor dining room always set for a large breakfast. Behind the bar/Reception desk there was always a very obliging member of staff to greet you and to help you. Shout out to Jeremy and Dave.

Great location, great staff

This was our 2nd stay when visiting Portsmouth for gigs. The hotel team are always very freindly and helpful. The breakfast is always good with good selection of fruits and juices to compliment ( if you actually have room). Free parking on a 1st come basis. All in all a great place to stay when in Pompey!

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Room was a deluxe king harbour view. Room was very spacious and bathroom was beautiful with an excellent shower. Rooms do need attention, the carpet in room 15 was very stained. The grand looking double doors to the bathroom didn’t shut and the lock was broken. The shower was very good. There is no air con, which isn’t great when the sun shines directly at the room for most of the day. It was not a comfortable sleep on a hot night. The bed was comfortable but the bedding and sheets were the absolute worst I’ve ever encountered in any hotel, they were polyester like and felt extremely cheap. This made sleeping on a hot night even worse. The included breakfast was a welcome addition however the produce was of poor quality, such as the catering style sausage and bacon and the extremely salty kippers. The poached eggs however, were exceptionally good. Overall we had a nice two night stay, unfortunately coinciding with the hottest day of the year. This shows why a standard hotel with air con (Premier Inn?) should be the preferred choice to a Boutique Hotel which needs to upgrade.

Easy check in. Arrived nearly 2 hours early. Room and parking was available. Staff helpful. Room clean. Breakfast was excellent - very well cooked and presented. Location perfect for us visiting the dockyard and shopping outlet.

When visiting Portsmouth this properties location in between the Historic Dockyards and Gunwharf Quays meant that for our three day stay we could easily walk to all of the major attraction. The fact it has its own car park was also a plus although you could easily travel there by public transport due its close proximity to the bus and rail stations. The staff were very helpful even finding some Marmite for my breakfast toast. One note it is is located on a busy corner so traffic noise can be a little intrusive, but not to bad.

Nice boutique hotel right next to the Naval Dockyards, ferry terminal to Gosport and the railway/bus depot. Very convenient for the outlet shopping centre and Spinnaker Tower so a great base for a visit to Portsmouth. Rooms were very nice and well maintained.

Loved how close it was to both the train station, the shopping center and the Victory and Mary Rose attractions

Fantastic location on the harbour an right next to the museums.

The location is unbeatable for the historic dockyard (30 mtr) and gunwharf quay and rail station. Good breakfast nicely cooked and tasty. The rooms are to a modern decor with fans for the heat, as there is no air con. We had room 25 which is small, but adequate. The bathroom is the smallest I have ever had with a basin that is tiny. Good shower cubicle that takes most of the space. We would stay there again but not in 25.

Very friendly staff and being able to park for the whole of our stay was a huge bonus.

Perfectly situated for dockyards-shopping and old town. Lovely walks around and lively pubs.
