Staff were extremely helpful. Excellent location. It may have been unusually hot, but the air conditioning unit in our room didn't work and it appeared that it had not been working for a long time. Some of the outside paintworks was terrible; rust showing through in many places. The breakfast was not good due to being under the lights to keep it warm - fried eggs were inedible, the bacon was like shoe leather. The whole place looked very tired and in need of a total renovation

Location is great for the cathedral and castle and the city tour bus stop. The hotel has no Aircon so beware if visiting in hot weather. Rooms opposite the cathedral have a small balcony where you can watch the peregrines. Breakfast is varied but found choosing from the cook to order gave the best options.

Location was excellent. Although the property is tired looking, we couldn't fault our stay. Staff are helpful and any issues got sorted out quickly. Would use the hotel again ☺️

Lovely sized room, bed and bathroom with great views of the cathedral

We had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a short visit. Pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade with views of the Cathedral on the 3rd floor. The breakfast was good, with a nice selection to start the day, and the overall experience. Parking was easy and plenty onsite. Just for future reference, when travelling in the summer months, for foreign travellers, there is no air-conditioning. You will be provided with a fan. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, this is a solid choice.

The hotel has the potential to be really great but is let down by the lack of reinvestment to maintain the rooms. The staff member I dealt with had little enthusiasm to help with not the best attitude. There are lots of lovely places to stay in Lincoln. I just wouldn’t stay here again.

Very welcoming staff, who couldn't do enough for you. They even went out of their way to help me with my mobility scooter and explain parking to me. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. I cant say much about the amenities as we didn't use many. The bar had a lovely view of the cathedral and the drinks were reasonably priced. Our only concerns were the food, breakfast was run of the mill and even though we appreciated the chef cooking dinner on a night he was not providng service we were not impressed with the food. If we had thought we would have reviewed the menu before requesting dinner. The fish and chips were nothing special and as for options for someone who is dairy intollerant ... there wasn't any! Other allergies and intollerancies were catered for. And no flexibility for a basic simple meal! The sous vide lamb belly though very tender was all fat, and most of the accompaniments not appropriate for my special diet. I was actually ill all evening and the following morning. And the building looked tired and in need of refurbishment. Over all it was a lovely break and we would stay again if we come back to Lincoln.

Good location with its own car park. Room lacked enough power points but was otherwise well equipped though beds were small and lighting was poor and it was somewhat dusty. Bathroom lacked some basics like towel rails and extractor and the shower was not adjustable. We felt unsafe standing in the bath. Breakfast was adequate and the view from the eating area was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

As previous reviews the corridor smelt of urine. Room was ok but could do with air con or fan. Location very good.

The hotel is dated and rooms need some renovation with paint peeling off the walls and the old decommissioned air conditioner full of dust and dirt.

Great location

We stayed at The Lincoln Hotel for one night. Garden room with a kingsize bed. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was spacious and powerful. We had a few drinks and an evening meal in the Lounge Bar. Breakfast was plentiful, help yourself in a relaxed environment. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of onsite parking - only negative, a sign to direct you 50m passed the hotel on the left would be very helpful.

Although the Hotel looks a little tired and in need of some updating, our room was fine. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The Lincoln relies heavily on it's position at the top of the town and behind the Cathedral. It was also very useful to be able to park at the back with no worries.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was comfy. Breakfast excellent particularly the pastries, great location. The hotel has been repainted inside however the guest bedroom corridors and room carpets appeared a little stained and worn. That being said it didn't feel dirty in the hotel. Take a fan with you for your room if hot weather! I would stay again.

Very well located with good parking. An easy walk to all the sights and really friendly restaurants and bars. Nice to see a lot of independent shops aswell. My room was comfortable; the staff were very accommodating. I will be visiting again

The hotel was good value as we had booked to stay there to see a concert at the Castle. Other hotels were asking higher prices for one night than we paid for 2. The hotel is in need of refurbishment but its in a fantastic location with amazing views of the cathedral so you can forgive the rest :)

Location was the only positive aspect of this hotel. It’s very tired - bedroom carpets were filthy and very work, cracks in bedroom wall, ill fitting bath panel, broken bedroom blind. I would not chose to stay at this hotel again

We stayed in a basic room with no air con or fan provided. It was so hot and when we opened up the windows for air, it was over the car park with both road noise and an extractor unit. We had little sleep. The bathroom is extremely compact and I had to ask for a hair dryer. The upside is it's location is great. And breakfast was nice.

Staff, location and breakfast first class. Hotel itself is in need of a refresh in the rooms - mentioned by other guests - but overall a very enjoyable stay

Hotel very dated. We had a garden room, which sounds good however was disappointing! Would have been nice if the gardens had be attended too, but there were overgrown trees and lots of weeds. Patio area outside the door was a nice touch, again not maintained. Breakfast was really good and nice views of the cathedral from the bar area. The weather was warm and not much seating area outside, although there was lots of room.
