We always stay at the Lincoln Hotel when visiting Lincoln. Lovely staff, comfy beds, great breakfast. Excellent location for visiting the Bail, cathedral, castle and the Strait. Plenty of local shops and a visit to the Wig and Mitre is a must

My sister and I love coming to the Lincoln Hotel and have stayed over the course of many years. This time our visit was especially good, largely in part because the staff on Reception were so courteous, welcoming and efficient. They really went the extra mile for us, enabling my sister, who has mobility issues, to move around the hotel stress-free. They were truly amazing. Our room was lovely, comfortable and very clean, as always. And we were also very impressed by our evening meal in the restaurant: delicious food, attractively presented, at a very reasonable price. All in all, a great stay at a very welcoming hotel. Thank you to all the staff who made this stay so enjoyable. We’ll be back for another visit soon!

THIS HOTEL is in need of renovation and I can't see how they can charge for what they do.
The paint is flaky along corridors inside our room no WiFi apart from inside our bathroom the bath panel broken in several places broken tile below sink.
Thick dust along the headboard.
Window sills on stairs dusty along with dead insects

Our room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the Cathedral. Everything that we wanted to see was within an easy walking distance of the hotel. We went out for our evening meal and on our return we found a wedding reception in full swing. The Website for the hotel does say that they cater for weddings, however, what we were not expecting, was a very loud disco that went on until midnight. I would advise that if anyone is considering booking this hotel, check that there is not a wedding /wedding reception being held there!

The hotel is quite tired, although it looks like they are modernizing bit by bit. Bar, restaurant is nice, reception and common areas quite tired. Our room definitely needed a refit, although it was comfortable and clean. Bathroom had seen better days!
What stood out as excellent is the staff, very helpful and cheerful. Overall a decent stay in an unbeatable location overlooking the cathedral.

Breakfast was perfect everything you wanted. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Problem with room was resolved swiftly. No complaints except bed was too hard for me and not comfy . Would definitely go again as location was fantastic too .

Stayed for 2 nights, big car park on site and only 7 pounds a night. Very friendly staff and very clean all over. The hotel looks old fashioned and tbh could do with a revamp, especially the mattress, which made springy noises when you moved. But for a good price ,to get your head down ina cental location it was great . Spotless place , good shower and a nice bar area.

Very welcoming staff, good facilities and excellent location. Room decor and fixtures a little 'tired' and could do with a bit of extra tlc but great value for the price paid, snd would use again.
Didn't have breakfast, but the smell from the dining area was lovely!
