The hotel is lovely staff are very helpful rooms are very clean. Our room was so hot at night but we found a fan in the wardrobe so that helped so much. The food was lovely . The entertainment was good. Hotel is quite far out from the centre but the tram stop in right outside the hotel. We had a really good stay and would definitely go back again.

Room was exceptionally clean and well maintained and stocked up during our stay. Staff were first class, especially the bar and catering staff who were always on the ball. Room itself was fairly small on the top floor but with adequate storage provision. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable, and bathroom door when open left little space to move. Would be better if door opened outwards. Evening entertainment was varied and enjoyable, and the breakfast quality was excellent. Would have liked a larger table for breakfast as the small square tables are quite tight for 2 people to fit everything on the table.

We had a wonderful stay at the Doric Hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The food was excellent, with a good variety of options and something for everyone. The hotel amenities were great and well maintained, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

We visited with our grandchildren who absolutely loved this hotel as much as us. Pool, sauna, jacuzzi entertainment was fabulous will be back.

Pool and spa were absolutely disgusting. Broken tiles, especially in the steam room and shower area, dirty, broken rusty lockers. Old outdated fixtures. Pool was crumbling on the sides,water was cloudy and smelt. Jacuzzi also smelt. Extremely poor experience. Waiting staff were very nice though. Room was average and not what the photographs looked like on the website.

Breakfast was great. The room don't overlook the beach, but that was not a problem.

The room we stayed in was a family room; unfortunately although it was exceptionally clean, it was very dated. The lobbies showed a desperate need of TLC. The fire doors had holes in which is a serious issue if a fire were to happen. It seems that half of the hotel was refurbished and our half was not. For three adults and two children, our room was very small and felt at points overcrowded. It would have been a more pleasant experience had we stayed in a more updated and larger room. The pictures advertised were very misleading for the money we paid out. A positive was the children's entertainment and my grandchildren throughly enjoyed the children's entertainer and the magic show.

Well organised for meals etc. staff were very helpful. Our room was on the small side but adequate and spotlessly clean.

Very clean hotel, friendly staff and a good atmosphere especially with the entertainment of an evening. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Unfortunately the shower pressure was terrible and the mattress was awful.

Lovely staff, they could not do enough for you. The entertainment for the children was perfect and the adults loved it too! The food was really good, both breakfast and dinner, and the service was excellent. The indoor and outdoor pool were fantastic and very clean. I am looking forward to staying again

Our stay was absolutely wonderful!. The room was spotlessly clean, with fresh linens and everything well maintained. The staff were incredibly friendly, especially Dylan the hotel manager, and Clinton..the night porter went above and beyond for us, attentive and always ready to help with a smile. And the beach view from our room was breathtaking-waking up to the sea and watching the sunset was the perfect touch to our trip. We’d definitely come back again!

Booked a room for 3, was given one with beds for 2. Hotel blamed hotels.com while hotels.com blamed the hotel. So I spent 2 nights sleeping on the floor. Absolutely no effort was made by the hotel to assist at all. We had to request an extra pillow and quilt for using on the floor as the carpet wasn't clean enough. The bathroom wasn't clean and the toilet seat was broken. Lamp in room also didn't work. Incredibly disappointing start to our holiday. Will never return.

It’s like stepping back in time when you visit Blackpool in many ways and although the Doric also feels a little bit like this it is also a comfortable, very clean hotel with very friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed the outdoor pool and bar as the weather was glorious! The only fault I can give, is our room (49) was far too hot as there’s no AC or fans but other than that we had a great stay.

The hotel itself is lovely, rooms clean. I have stayed 3x now. The main issue I have is that each time I stay I am kept awake by rowdy inconsiderate guests who think it’s acceptable to run up and down room corridors, slam doors, scream & bang around all hours. It was still happening at 1am on the most recent stay. The walls are very thin! I had asked for a room in the quietest part of the hotel (where possible) due to having to be up and leaving by 5.30am.
