I dont usually write negative things…but this was a second stay in a year and it didn’t feel as positive. Pity they had an issue with the hot water in the morning for a very like warm shower. Had to pay extra for breakfast even though had included it and we didn’t have breakfast on the first day. Paying off parking separate is a chore as you check in. And we ran out of tissues… hayfever season. All little things but in a good position for Floriade and staff friendly enough.

Checked into the QT Canberra for 4 days on a Monday. I will get the Pros out of the way first. The staff in the kitchen and dining room were excellent. Food was also excellent and the Eggs Benedict was probably the best I have ever had but sadly it went downhill from there. When we got out of the lift on our floor we saw that the floor was not vacuumed and was not vacuumed for the 4 days we were there. One morning we returned to your room and there was only two towels. We rang housekeeping, no answer, we rang Concierge, no answer, so we rang Reception , again no answer. I then went down to reception to complain but I had to wait in line as the 1 receptionist was busy. When he saw there was a lineup he went out the back to get another receptionist. A male came out and started doing his job. When I was eventually served I told him the problem especially about the phone calls, he advised that they were busy. I told him that the only person that was busy when I came down was the receptionist dealing with a guest. Not happy. Housekeeping eventually came to our room with sheets, not what we were after. We got the towels eventually. The next morning no hot water throughout the hotel, so a cold shower. No apology or explanation from the hotel. A terrible stay, won’t be back.

Great hotel in a convenient Canberra location - short walk to the lake.

I have stayed here often since the 80's when it was the Canberra Lakeside Hotel. Over the years it has definitely changed but I still enjoy the nostalgia of visiting this iconic hotel. The QT Canberra has given the hotel a newer and more vibrant atmosphere. Our room 708 was comfortable and had a nice outlook towards Parliament House and Lake Burley Griffin. Thank you to Wally on reception for giving us a great room for our visit. We hope to come back again in the future.

Clean and spacious room and bathroom. Comfy bed and great staff.

We checked into the room with the option to either have breakfast included or pay a bit more and have breakfast included and get a $50 credit to the room. I did not photograph the offer, but I did call family to book the same deal. None of it was honoured. There is construction all around the hotel and the food was some of the most inedible we’ve ever eaten and for a hefty price. We won’t be back.

The room was very clean and the hotel was in a good location. The mattress was very soft, the shower water didn’t get quite hot enough and the parking situation wasn’t the best are my negatives The restaurant was great for breakfast and the bar made a perfect Margie (cocktail, not pizza) Staff were lovely as well

Large room. Had difficulty with air conditioning, first not working and then it started leaking. These issues were attended to in a timely manner

Great breakfast staff. Mattresses a bit soggy, otherwise excellent stay. Will stay again. Great location, bikes to ride around lake!

Staff were lovely. Room service was limited in food choices and was not available after 8.00pm. Parts of the hotel look tired. Restaurant was expensive. Room was nice but no comparison to the sophistication of QT Perth.

Car parking arrangement sucks!! They make you pay, but then no parking spot.

Modern hotel with little touches of luxury. Everything ticked the boxes from the super soft bed to beautiful hand soaps and lotions, except a shame it didn’t extend to quality toilet paper. Walking distance to Floriade and a restaurant and bar made this a hotel we would come back to.

We discovered that you’re pet friendly. This will be a huge bonus for us for future trips.

Front desk staff were friendly, restaurant staff were polite but not warm or overly welcoming. The room was comfortable however the dooner cover kept seperating from the dooner, the bathroom exhaust fan didn't seem to cope with steam, the bathroom door did not close properly which meant my toddler could push open the door. Overall I would stay at QT Canberra again if there was a discount. The room was comfortable, and close to the city. The parking was expensive.

The restaurant is great!

Spent a number of days at QT Canberra and overall very happy with the stay. Lovely staff and very helpful and created a lovely vibe, only downside was one or two in the dinning area seemed a little disinterested. The area around the hotel is nice and quiet but close enough to everything you need in Canberra and easy access to main routes. The room was very nice and spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. Only thing was a ramp/step outside the bathroom is a bit of a safety hazard, and some areas of skirtings/plugs could do with a clean. Did have a noisy neighbour next to use for a few nights and they slammed the door a lot, so just a note. But overall a nice quiet stay and comfortable so would happily recommend a stay here.

Was let down by QT Canberra. The room itself was mediocre. Bathroom was tiny and there was NO water pressure. I wasn’t able to wash my hair it was that bad! Sheets were dirty and had holes, the fitted sheet was also a flat sheet they laid across the mattress. Wifi was too slow to stream, so had to use phone data. Parking is $30 per day which is well overpriced for the area. Parking across the road (300m walk) is only $14 per day. Location is great, quick 5min walk to the main street. Lots of construction around the area, but didn’t hear it. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
