Ramada Suites by Wyndham Zen Quarter Darwin

Stayed in a 1 bedroom studio apartment at Ramada Suites by Wyndham Zen Quarter Darwin for 2 nights. The staff were very friendly and the room itself was clean and comfortable. One of the reasons I chose the hotel was because the apartment included laundry facilities, so it was disappointing that the washing machine in my room was already damaged prior to my stay and had not been replaced before check-in. Reception did kindly offer to do my laundry, which I appreciated, but I didn’t end up using the service as there were only 2 lifts servicing the entire building, making trips up and down during peak times quite frustrating due to the long waits and also because of my tight schedule and reception is not 24/7. On a positive note, the rooftop bar was lovely with a great atmosphere. Overall, a decent stay with a few inconveniences.

- Bed was wobbly, uncomfortable, and felt small for what it was supposed to be - the credit for breakfast was the price of most menu items, which would be fine if it included coffee. But it doesn't. Only includes hot water and instant (unfiltered) coffee. You have to pay extra for each cup of real coffee. This is deceptive and dishonest advertising. - Soundproofing is minimal and we could hear noise from the hallway all night. We left two non-refundable days early and will never return.

Great room with large kitchen including laundry, living room and dining area, plus 2 bedrooms. Our room had a HUGE balcony off of it with dining table. So nice. The rooftop restaurant/bar was awesome! We had some drinks and enjoyed complimenting snacks and the kids loved the massage chairs. Special spot. The pool was awesome!

10/10 staff reception & cleaners 👍. Pool great 👍. Room stayed decent although don’t understand all the glass seperators between bed & living room keep it open one side at least I can understand kitchen side. Disappointed breakfast (tried once) not fresh and cafe only open until 10:30am glad I didn’t pay for every morning. Good coffee but when have machine & pay should be for a latte or capuccino 👍. Rooftop well ‘overrated’ for views but each for your own. Corridors & lifts too warm. Generally feels uncomfortable wandering the place unlike hotels stayed in my time few & far between. Tv’s take too long to go on in rooms (if they do). Alot to improve on here. Not the best place to stay from a ‘solo’ traveller perspective but I chose apartment style stay which not used to on travels so far. Glad I tried now I know.

Great stay overall. The location is excellent, the rooms are a decent size and comfortable, and the rooftop bar is a real highlight with magnificent views.

Staff polite, friendly and always helpful. Comfortable room, good views of city, harbour and fireworks on New Year’s Eve. Excellent breakfast.

clean room, excellent staff..only sorry the roof top was closed new years eve... but our room had fantastic view of the fireworks...
