Ramada by Wyndham Surrey/Langley

When I went in, I was ‘put on hold’ with a gesture because she was talking to another staff in front of her. After a few seconds, I took opportunity to bring my other stuffs in from the car while they were talking. Next day, we thought we’d go to the pool but the pool floor’s doesn’t look to be clean, like sanitized clean like other hotels, and the jets weren’t working at the hot tub so we went back to the room early. We were showering and put on the do not disturb sign on the door. We were there for only a few minutes and the cleaning crews were still around but that day the cleaning didn’t get done in our rooms. I called the service desk, I was told to go get the towels and refills at the reception myself. We were there 2 nights. We got 2 rooms. Breakfast as continental type but in a restaurant. We thought we would have a sample of the talent of the chefs but that was another missed opportunities. The Executive hotel at Richmond upgraded us to a penthouse, 4 star breakfast at the restaurant next to us. Anyhow, it was my stepdaughter’s first trip to Canada from US. I travelled a lot previously and appreciated all the hotels I’ve been to previously. I understand why the hotel looks struggling. I wish them well.

Unsafe. Had a fellow pounding on our door at 8:50 pm, waking our daughter, wgile yelling obsenities. Claiming he is switching rooms due from our 6 yearold autistic son bouncing and playing. With the noise restriction for 9:30, and the minimal amount of noise made, my wife and daughter at this point felt unsafe. Without any other communication other than a poor ypung girl at the front desk "claiming" to have removed the other guest from the hotel. No response from the hotel manager, or representative for almost two days, when the manger then contacted us asking us to allow us to give them another chance and stay with them. Very poor response, and service, from the manager all the way to the lacking service desk staff.

Breakfast was ok

Very clean room and great breakfast!

The room was amazingly clean. I suffer from an extreme allergy to dust mites, I even brought my vacuum to use. The sheets, bed and room were pretty spotless. The staff wer friendly and helpful, the pool and hot tub was the reason for my stay in addition to being friendly towards dogs. The free breakfast had the best waffles ive tasted in a long time. The offering of the breakfast and the cleanliness of the venue was top notch, while being simple and tasty. Couldnt be happier with my stay over Christmas

All was fine and clean. The mattresses were terrible

We were given a room with 2 queen beds. The one mattress was worn right out causing the outside edge to flatten out and the centre was raised and very uncomfortable to sleep on. We were offered to change rooms but decided to use the one queen instead. Room should never have been rented out in that condition. The toilet is built to accomodate a child since it was so low to the ground. As we are seniors it made it very difficult to use.

All that we needed. Clean, comfortable, very quiet even though there were some upgrades being done. Front desk staff was very good. Fridge and coffee maker in room. We stayed for just one night.

Our room was very noisy with the air conditioner and the fridge never stopped running Very noisy The wall on the bathroom side beside the bed was all stained with something It looked like semon or snot

This is one of the worst hotel stays we've ever had. We basically didn't sleep for the 4 nights we were there. There must not be any sound proofing between rooms. The people above us were stomping around, sounded like they were coming through the ceiling until midnight and then they started right back up at around 4am. The 2nd night I went to the front desk at 4am to complain because we were there for a wedding and needed sleep. They were unhelpful and just told us those people were checking out in the morning. They didn't do anything to help. Then the next night we thought it'd be better because the front desk said the ppl above us were checking out that day but it was not. So since it was terrible after those ppl checked out we realized that there must not be any sound proofing so when ppl walk above it is so loud in the room below. We could hear the bathroom door shutting so loud in our room. We could hear everything. We had even brought our own fan because we like the fan to drown out noise but that didn't even work. 4 sleepless nights. We've stayed in many many hotels and have never experienced this before. Maybe we just got unlucky with terribly loud people above us that never slept and walked around all night. But I think we were lied to that the ppl were leaving because it's strange it was the same times they were awake and loud. Only quiet we got was from 1am to 4am. Sounded like they were doing jumping jacks all the time.

The hotel’s location, cleanliness, and free breakfast were good, but the staff’s behaviour was disappointing. I arrived at 1:00 am after my bus broke down and tried calling the reception several times beforehand to inform them about it, but the line was busy, so I left a message and called again. When the receptionist finally answered, and I asked if she’d received my message, she became irritated and cut me off. After being stranded at a gas station in an unfamiliar city, a little empathy would have made a huge difference. Overall, the customer service definitely needs improvement.

No hot water during our stay. No compensation offered. No one contacted us about the problem.

Staff were great. Hotel was clean and mostly updated. Bathrooms could use a refresh but overall a great value. Pool area was also clean and well maintained.

We booked the hotel for a hockey tournament. My son was yelled at in the hallway by someone in another room because he was a “hockey” kid despite the fact he was doing nothing wrong (I was standing in the door way while he sat on the floor holding his hockey stick). There was a drunk man wandering the halls one of the night and was screaming in one of the kids faces when we had come up from the pool and were sorting sleeping arrangements between parents/kids. The pool was open until 11pm and we listened to families scream and play in the pool as our room was just above the swimming area. Staff was not accommodating of any team based activities. Over all was not impressed.
