The Sydney Boutique Inn

The apartment was incredible as were all the furnishings and kitchen appliances plus utensils. The 3 night stop we had on what is a long 50 day trip around Canada and Alaska was brilliant and the washing machine and tumble dryer in the apartment were a fantastic touch. Cannot fault our stay and the included breakfast was excellent as well!!!!!!!!!

We traveled from Vancouver and found the rooms beautiful and comfortable. Wonderful to return to after a day of sightseeing. Staff was helpful. Good parking. Great breakfast every morning. Good location for walking Charlottetown.

It was a great experience

This charming hotel is nestled just adjacent historic downtown of Charlottetown - a 10 minute walk to all the shopping and sights. The rooms are beautifully equipped and design is in all of the details. Beds and linens are best in class, the bathroom is spacious and well stocked; abundant water pressure; flawless tech and good control of the rooms hvac system. Our stay included a generous full breakfast which was delicious. 3 night experience and it was far superior to other hotels we stayed at during our holiday.

Breakfast was excellent and room was lovely. Would have been nice to have a hot pool or sauna and restaurant on site.

5 girlfriends stayed in 2 superior luxury apartments (1 king + 1 queen with 2 bathrooms). It was absolutely gorgeous! Roomy. Beautiful. Very comfy beds. Lovely staff. The only unfortunate issue was that we found 2 thongs (one in each bedroom) behind the dresser and the curtains! More deep cleaning would be appreciated.

I really loved this hotel, however, as a single woman I did not feel safe in this part of town. There was a used condom in the parking lot, and cigarette butts and stuff all around- I was also accosted several times by the men staying at the halfway house across the street. It’s a shame really as it is beautiful, super close to the boardwalk and downtown and the staff are lovely and breakfast great. The one other minor complaint- if you’re a light sleeper- the heating/ pipes etc are really loud (it is an old building).

We were lucky to visit during the off-season, when Charlottetown feels peaceful and authentic—no crowds, no over-tourism, just time to enjoy the Maritime charm. The Sydney Boutique Inn is the stylish, quietly elegant side of the island at its best. Management and ownership have done a first-rate job restoring this historic waterfront building. It’s close to the harbour yet tucked just off-center, which gives it a relaxed, residential feeling. Our suite overlooked a lovely park and a quiet street with warm lighting, red chairs, and a small fountain—details that tell you how much care goes into maintaining the property. Everywhere you look, the Inn is immaculate: the rooms, corridors, and public spaces have an eye for precision and quality. The interiors are exceptional—high ceilings, wide hallways, thoughtful lighting, and deep carpets that add genuine comfort. The breakfast area feels refined rather than repurposed, with linen-covered tables, fresh fruit salad, and a daily quiche. It’s generous and gracious, not just functional. Our suite was spacious, with a wonderful bed and unfussy touches that made it feel effortlessly comfortable. The saying “a good manager is felt but not seen” absolutely fits here—though in truth, the manager is both visible and genuine. His thoughtful notes and personal approach show the kind of care that defines truly fine hospitality. A pleasure to have been your guests—thank you for a memorable stay!

Sydney Boutique is a beautiful hotel with great staff and the breakfast consisted of quiche, a chef there that would whip up an omelet or pancakes. Hugh variety on fruits, yogurt and breads. We are making this our Go-To when we go to PEI
