Staff was rude, charged me 300 for damage deposit. Made me sign contract stating i would owe them 250 if i smoked anywhere on the property.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our room faced out towards the lake, the view was amazing.Great location on the beach and close to restaurants and bars. we will stay here again for sure.

Great stay! Amazing self check in and the room was great value with a lovely jetted tub. Very clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and the fact that it was dog friendly was very helpful. I did not notice the 10am check out time and ended up checking out slightly after 11. The staff were gracious with my over sight and had patience with my wife and I. Definitely will recommend and return!

Great location. Room has a good view. Bed needs replaced. Lamps, blinds need replaced, worn out a long time ago.

Very expensive for a one star motel. It’s a fantastic location (directly across from the beach) but that’s where the good news ends. Dark dirty rooms outdated rooms and zero customer service.

No temperature control. Either on or off. No thermostat. Other than that, everything else was fine. Room was clean and safe.

Great location, but the hotel itself needs a make over. A lot of "home depot" style reno's mixed in with old fixtures. TV was small and in a weird spot. Big kitchenette and water pressure is great. The best part about this hotel is the location being right down across from the lake. But I wouldn't stay here if I was looking for a nice room. The location is why people stay here. I am past the point of loving hotels that have crazy high rates and don't upkeep the property. The front desk girl was super friendly, helpful and awesome.

No in-person check-in after 5pm. Room # & code are messaged to you after you fill in an intake form including picture ID. Try doing that while driving or flying! Not sure what you’re supposed to do if something is wrong upon check-in. At no time are you asked about or provided any information about a pet. Our Expedia filters included ‘pet-friendly’ properties. We checked in well after 6 pm. No one at front desk to advise of a pet. Checkout is 10 am, which is a notification you receive with the message advising of room # & code. No one shows up at the office until 10 am. We were finishing up some breakfast shortly after 10 when someone opens the door to the room. No knock despite a Do Not Disturb sign on the door. The woman (I learned later this was the front desk clerk) was petrified when seeing our little Havanese dog. She slammed the door shut. I packed the car up and went to the office where I was accused of “sneaking a dog in”. If I was going to sneak the dog in we would have left before any staff showed up. I responded by saying how unprofessional and discourteous it was to open a hotel room door without knocking especially with a do not disturb sign out. I was chastised for being in the room past 10 am as if this excused not knocking. How are you supposed to request a later check in when there is no one at the front desk when you arrive or before checkout time??? I would really like to rate this motel higher since it’s a good room and bed.

We liked the room had a kitchenette, but unfortunately had no frying pan to cook breakfast. We liked the hotel was close to the lake. Stay was comfortable.

Close to beach and walking distance to downtown and restaurants. Clean enough and although dated had all amenities we needed.

There was a mix-up with our room. It was more my fault than the management's. They solved the issue and moved quickly to solve the problem. VERY accommodating! This property is properly ranked as a 2 star but I stayed in 3-4 stars that weren't as clean and spacious as this one. We had a two-bedroom, great for a small family, or two travelers as we were! It was very clean and close ( walking ) to everything! I even went swimming in October too! The bottom line for us: Great value and great customer service! Well done Tiki Shores!

Clean and comfortable

The location is perfect. Staff was great. The room was not great. The bed mattress was old, soft, not confortable and smelled weird. Seemed like the maintenance is not something important. Ceiling lamp missing, bathroom smelled rotten, floor dirty, old and broken. The worst of all is that one night I was awake by some noise in the kitchenette. Sure enough there are mouses behind the fridge. They have access inside the cupboard where pots and pans are. Pooping around! The staff is aware of that problem as a mouse trap was installed on top of the fridge. I don’t recommend this place. Good thing I have some international travel experience as most Canadian would not have tolerated this room for 4 nights. Good luck!

Good property but floors dusty on arrival need to were shoes blow dryer broken did bring in new one after repeated conversations
