Sofa bed was unacceptable with no solution provided other than ‘an extra blanket’ Room wasn’t serviced, jacuzzi and sauna were out of action (for months- yet it’s a ‘spa’ hotel) Restaurant food was okay, menu was average. Parking was good and location was good.

Room was clean and staff very pleasant though obviously overworked.

I must admit what a beautiful room we had really clean and very comfortable to stay in would definitely recommend a stay

It was ok for the price but I’ve been in travelodges that have more room amenities. No glasses, just mugs and a kettle. All the sockets are extremely low and so it’s either difficult to or you’re not able to get the plugs in you need that you’ve bought with you. In our room the air con came on in the middle of the night, and in our room it had a spanner showing that it had a problem…so I was unable to turn it off and it was pretty noisy so had about 1.5 hours of trying to get back to sleep. Not the worst but also not the best.

The dining room manager was clearly very stressed and was quite abrupt because they had been having issues in the kitchen and the main coffee machine wasn’t working. The food was nice but shared yoghurt and jams are not great when some guests put the wrong spoons in the wrong jars/dishes. Individual pots of preserve and yoghurts would be better. There weren’t any tongs to pick up the pastries and Some guests were picking them up with their hands and putting them back. Also a lot of the chairs and tables in the dining room weren’t clean with food residues left behind! Also the pool and hot tub weren’t working and the fixtures and fittings looked tired and some were broken, I.e., locker doors, handle on steam room and lights. We have been given a complimentary voucher for a revisit to the Spa but I don’t live in the area, so I will have to pass this onto family who in the area. This was booked for me as a birthday treat!!

Overall good but bin in bathroom full on arrival

Functional heating for room during sub-zero weather. And staff who don’t resent you for asking for a replacement heater that actually worked. Air con was broken, and a known long-term fault apparently. Replacement electric heater (already in the room), was both pathetic (tiny) and not fit-for-purpose, as not on thermostat so could not be run unattended overnight. When asked, staff told me that the air con was broken, then told me it wasn’t, then were obviously displeased when I asked for suitable alternative. I was polite throughout, and expected a consistent and constructive response- I was treated like an annoyance. And all this in the absence of a properly maintained room. In addition, the ‘non smoking’ bedroom stank of cigarettes, the bath plug was broken, and lots of black mould around window and bath. I did not complain about these other issues, due to the unsympathetic response when I discussed the heating. What’s the point. Everything else was lovely.

Great stay, little disappointed to find no jacuzzi but still very lovely relax with the other amenities. Lovely staff .

Allover a good place with many options around and inside the complex - restaurant, spa, fitness, meetings .... nearby Canterbury and Dover for extensive history buffs

Excellent hotel, fantastic food, very comfortable

Three night stay to visit Ashford designer outlet and relax. Check in simple but hotel computer system down so some delay. Room clean and tidy, courtyard view. Hotel did not service the room after the second night despite the appropriate notice hanging on the door. Breakfast ok but could do with some charcuterie selection, also hot buffet somewhat tired. Weekday breakfast ends at 9.30am on the dot with everything cleared away so don’t turn up late! Pool and Spa facilities good. Staff friendly and helpful.
