Bra och fräscht hotell nära Paddington och bara 10 min promenad till Hyde park. Enda minuset var att man hörde trafik och annat väldigt tydligt från gatan när man skulle sova

I enjoyed my stay at Balmoral House Hotel. It's been a while since I could stay somewhere that does a full English breakfast! It's very convenient for the local shops, train and tube, especially the Elizabeth line.
My room was cleaned daily and the staff are very welcoming.The sole quibble I have is that there wasn't a shelf to put soap and shampoo on in the shower. It's a small thing, but it makes it easier to manage.

The room is clean but needs a table or shelf to organize personal stuff. The location is very convenient to public transportation. The staff are fantastic. I will recommend & come back again.

Down in London for a rugby weekend and as always stayed in Paddington. It's pretty central and within walking distance of all the sights which was really handy as there was a tube strike throughout our visit. Sussex Gardens is just off the main street and set back from the road by gardens so nice and quiet at night. The hotel was nice and our room was spacious for a twin with comfortable beds and a small ensuite shower and toilet. Furnishings and layout are not modern like the big chain hotels but it is clean and tidy, with daily housekeeping and fresh towels etc and the staff on reception and in the breakfast room were pleasant and friendly. The only downside is there is no lift so it's not suitable if stairs are an issue as the rooms are over 5 floors. We've stayed at a few hotels on this road and they are all very similar in price and facilities and don't disappoint.

Two good things to say about this hotel are the location and the beds. Both super and worth 5 stars! :)
However, the breakfast is not worth mentioning, it ends already at 8:30 am and there is not seats enough for all guests (so allow time to wait). The staff are kind, but seems too busy, as they wait staring at you eating, ready to clean the table the second you have put the empty glass there.
The bed sheets were clearly washed and nice, but there were hairs on the pillow and sheet, and the carpet on the floor was not very clean. We found things under the beds, and a toenail from a former guest next to the night table. So we were not impressed by that.
So if you are not demanding a clean room with a good breakfast, but just need a central place to sleep for a fair price, I can recommend this hotel.

Great location, very average hotel. Room was a good size but bathroom was tiny, could hardly use the toilet! Furniture dated and room very basic. Cooked breakfast was fairly poor quality, although they offered fruit and juice. Overall feels like a hostel. Great location near Paddington and Hyde Park.
