Well located for Sandy Park. Staff very welcoming and efficient. Resolved some issues we had during the booking process and talked through the details of the room. It was particularly refreshing to find a socket next to the mirror and USB sockets next to the bed.

Average breakfast, as not many options for vegetarians. Not a very warm welcome staff in the morning breakfast room. Cannot recall the name of the two ladies in the breakfast room but they were both unhelpful and when you asked them something they were ready to bite your head off and tell you that you were wrong. Hotel is newly built and close to motorway. Requested to upgrade rooms complimentary was declined saying its not direct booking . Hotel is 12 minutes drive to city centre and close to rugby stadium. We stayed on 4th floor and shower was too slow . Car park is not free so make sure you consider that when booking. Also as you are sharing car park with the rugby stadium make sure there no matches on when you are staying. I returned in the afternoon to a full car park, as there was a match. There was no parking and only managed to find a spot when someone left.

Property overlooks a motorway and IKEA. With a a restaurant named The View, you expect a nice one.
My steak was cut by the chef prior to me getting it, but more importantly it was cut before being rested, turning the steak tough - basic mistake for a chef.
The scrambled eggs at breakfast were powdered eggs and tasteless.
Expect better for a Marriot.
Other than that, the hotel and its staff were very pleasant.

Reception staff friendly, room clean and comfortable. Let down by restaurant poor service, I had to wait 45 mins for a salad, I had made a reservation and restaurant was not busy, not offered a drinks order and when the food came (not all together side dish arrived 5 mins later than main) the salad was warm with no dressing as described on the menu.

We booked this property as we had tickets for the rugby prem cup finale sandy park it was about a 1 min walk across the carpark and we could leave our car at the property staff were attentive and efficient in all areas Our room was immaculate and comfortable. A great stay thank you Marriott
