Great hotel, great location lovely staff and great facilities

The hotel was busy with Christmas parties but we were welcomed and made to feel like valued guests by all the staff. Lovely room with a decking area for our dog and 5 star cleanliness.

REFUND REQUIRED: HONEYMOON RUINED!!!! -DESPICABLE CHECK-IN, RUDE STAFF, NOISY GUESTS I booked this hotel as it had come highly recommended. I'm leaving wondering why?! Upon check in Chloe initially ignored myself and my husband having looked me in the eye, looked down and continued a conversation with her colleague; then decided to abruptly check us in. She was cold, unwelcoming and immediately as she took one look at us treated us according to that! Euan was there who in our opinion saved the day, as I'd would have checked out there and then!! Lucie was very kind and helpful too. Noisy Guests The above were put directly next door to us in room 318; the ENTIRE floor was empty so staff, I think deliberately put these uncouth, loud, aggressive and extremely disrespectful people next to us knowing what would ensue!!! I called reception around 1:30am spoke to james who was himself helpful at the start, but quickly became combative; talking over me, and dismissed me. I told him I had been woken up by these uncouth lot next door quite a few time!!! james Duty Mng was very rude, talked over me the entire time and refused to let me speak or get my point across on three separate occasions!!! john was also unhelpful by not asking if I'd like help moving my luggage! He then lied when I'd asked him if he'd mind helping me, saying he'd asked Mr if I needed help when he hadn't!!! I'm angry disgusted and would like a refund as my ENTIRE HONEYMOON has been ruined!!!!

The staff were friendly, hotel looks amazing but the apartment is starting to look tired. It was clean, comfortable but it’s looking old. Bathroom was very basic.

This is a lovely hotel. It's well placed for a visit to the Cotswolds. There is a large car park, check in was easy and our room was so nice, overlooking the lake. Breakfast was good, a self service buffet with lots of options. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We've stayed here several times and it never disappoints!

I’m not sure what to call the “room” we were given. Room feels generous. It was more like a makeshift hideout tucked into the eaves of the building — cramped, dark, and honestly comparable to a prison cell… though to be fair, most cells probably get more natural light. Things went further downhill at dinner. I ordered a vegetarian meal and was served a dish containing more chicken breast than a Nando’s family platter. We complained, they whisked it away, and proudly returned with a “fresh” vegetarian dish — except they’d literally just picked the chicken out and forgotten a bit. Cue round two of “spot the bird.” After pointing it out again, the plate mysteriously reappeared minus the final piece of chicken. Magical. This was, without question, the worst experience we’ve ever had at a De Vere hotel. And the saddest part? This was our fifth visit. We used to love this place. But after the prison loft and the chicken salad that refused to die, it’s safe to say this will likely be our last.

Lovely rooms, great food and the best bar staff at the function we were at. Jack (John) was great, good fun and told us about the wines available. He was super helpful with some other bits and bobs, an absolute credit to De Vere Cotswold Water Park hotel. Thanks so much Jack!
