Ok for a night Area around hotel not the safest

The hotel is well placed in the town centre with a car park right next door, priced at £8 for 24 hours, very reasonable. Park on the lower floor for direct access to the hotel. We were extremely pleased with the spaciousness of the room. The bed was comfortable and the TV huge for a hotel room. The bathroom too was large. There was plentiful tea, coffee and milk. The breakfast was well varied, well-maintained and all was clean. Improvements that I would suggest. Please provide a hand towel as well as bath towels. Please provide two spare pillows, not just one. Lighting in the room is not really sufficient for things like styling hair. A light above the mirror would really help. Things out of the hotel's control, the person in the neighbouring room trying the connecting door- a bit disconcerting. People returning at 4am speaking at the top of their voices, very inconsiderate.

The room itself was basic carpet stains , however my biggest problem was the noise from the other guests in the corridor shouting through the night running up and down worse than being in a ghetto would not stay again, staff not really interested

Staff support was completely lacking. Also, necessary items that should be in a hotel room were not there e.g drinking water. Consider having a small fridge in the rooms.

Great stay first time visiting an ibis hotel and very much enjoyed it although I didn't opt in for breakfast or used any of the other facilities other than the room I would love to experience all of it another time.

Excellent location and friendly reception - even in the middle of the night when I checked in. Room fine. Warm and clean enough. The whole hotel is a bit tired and needs a refresh, though. Dirty carpets and walls - doesn't feel much loved.

Nice place to stay, easy access to everything

Two night stay for my partner and I as we were attending a couple of events at The Roadmender. Only a 5 mins walk straight down the road to the venue! Hotel on the outskirts of the town centre, shops, restaurants, bars, takeaways- spoilt for choice all within a few minutes walk. Nice clean room, comfy bed, hot powerful shower, food and drinks available 24/7 and friendly, helpful staff- always ready to greet you with a smile. What more could you want! We would definitely stay again.
