Good size room great breakfast friendly staff

Ok - check was a long affair even though we had done the online check in - with only one staff on duty it made no difference

Room was clean and I was happy

Everything was to the expected standards.

Clean and inviting updated rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Booked an Executive Room. All booking documents and the online check-in email clearly stated check-in at 3pm and check-out at 12pm. However, on arrival I was told that Executive Rooms actually allow check-in from 12pm and check-out at 2pm. This was extremely frustrating, as I had paid for a train arriving at 3pm and an early return train, not knowing I could have arrived earlier and stayed later. If this information had been made clear in advance, I would have planned my travel very differently. Additionally, previous Executive Room benefits seem to have been reduced without explanation. There used to be two free drink vouchers, two free coffees, and 20% off food and drink. Now it’s only two free coffees and 10% off, which feels disappointing for an expensive hotel and an “Executive” room. Overall, the stay itself was fine, but the poor communication and reduced benefits made it pfeel like poor value for money.

The room itself was very clean just disappointed with the comfort of the bed and pillows. Bathroom very clean apart from the shower doors needs a lot of attention to the bottom of the doors very unclean. Soap and shower gel in shower very good quality and beautiful smell,overall a good stay and the staff on reception very professional.

Staff at Reception were v sweet & charming

We had a lovely comfortable stay whilst visiting relatives. The room was warm and spotless. The breakfast and bar service very good. The hotel is central and handy for everything.

We went in , no one at reception, but was a lovely girl when some one did come , breakfast AWFUL, we was upgraded in room for some reason , but dont know what a standard would be as this one tiny , you have to walk in closed off shower to close door and go to toilet

Everything was great but we could release the plug in the sink we called reception explained we needed to go out as we had show tickets, within minutes the manger came and mended the sink! Fantastic service thank you 😊

Hotel reception very clean and lovely smell. Easy check in. Breakfast very tasty

Great breakfast . Rooms lovely and comfortable- they had some issues with heating due to very cold weather but sorted it out . Rooms could possibly do with a deep clean as ceiling had a few cobwebs which heating vent highlighted by blowing them around .

Clean hotel and room, very comfy bed and great selection at breakfast including hot items. Ideal location near to the city centre and rail station, or car parking if you drive there. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Had a great stay at the hotel, really pleased I did. Being really picky, the lift had issues reading cards before you select the floor you want, which was a bit annoying, and my shower wasn't very powerful for hot/warm water (only cold), but I made do, and didn't mean too much, it still wouldn't deter me from booking the hotel again. Overall, a great stay.
