Leonardo Hotel Sheffield

Nice place with friendly staff. Only thing stopping me giving it a 10 was the aircon unit kept coming on in the night, was faulty. However the room was clean, good location for the theatre with a nice bar and breakfast. If you’re driving make sure to stay in the car park nearby where you can get discount.

Great stay again as here a lot. Friendly staff who looked after my needs as we were a party of 8. Rooms clean and excellent. Cheers

Conveniently close to the train station and the staff was helpful. The only thing is the lack of parking in front of the hotel to load and unload belongings

The hotel was very clean, had security on a night to ensure drunk/random people cannot hang about. The room was a nice size, good lighting and good walkable distance to nightlife, food and activities

bathroom was small

I stayed two nights and couldn't sleep. Night 1: There was a known water drip from the ceiling, which kept me up all night. It took several follow-ups to get them to look into it and do anything about it. Night 2: My room was changed to another, which was then double-booked. So while I was in the middle of my nap, someone else came into the room.

Good hotel, friendly and helpful staff, nice food etc. However I've marked down because of the heating situation in the executive suites. The lowest temperature setting was 19C, which is unnecessarily high and made the room uncomfortably hot. None of the settings were adjustable - so the only option was to turn off the heating completely. Which meant that during the night the room became too cold. I don't understand why you can't turn the heating below 19C. Please rectify urgently.

Room smelled from the sink

The breakfast buffet was terrible! Most tables uncleared, and most food ran out. There were no plates and long queues while people waited for plates to come. Most hot food had run out and was being replenished really slowly, which is not helpful when you need to leave at a particular time. The hot food that was there seemed to be of low quality (grey bacon, cheap sausages, pale and oily potatoes). I've had many hotel buffet breakfasts, but this was by far the worst in a long time. Definitely not worth the money.

The bathroom had a white shower curtain however this was quite mouldy at the bottom and the in side of the bath had not been well cleaned. The kettle was too dirty to use, so i had to clean it before i could use it, and then there was no decaff coffee available in the room. The beds were really comfortable however the air con was unchangeable as it said 'error' no matter what button we pressed so we had to take the key card out of the slot to sleep meaning the lights were not able to work so i stubbed my toe in the night At breakfast, the signage said there would be smoothies available, so the girls were excited but when we got there the man said they had changed the menu than morning and they didnt have them any more. I asked for gluten free bread and after 10 minutes some came out on a plate, however they only had brown seeded and so i couldnt find out what seeds it was. Finally every single juice glass was really dirty, but when i told the waiter he said it was just water stains and thye just hadnt been polished. I knew it wasnt as there was a sandy residue on them all too, so the dishwasher filter had clearly not been cleaned. The hotel was friendly and the rooms were ok, however the bathroom wasnt great and for a room advertised as a family room, the beds were not able to be spaced out much. The location was good and there was good parking too.

Very nice hotel within easy access to the city centre…. All staff I interacted with were friendly and seemed to have a genuine interest in their role. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable

Great hotel great location

Room was clean BUT kettle not useable as didnt work. TV also did not work. On my first night I ordered room service and ordered a chicken burger from the menu. The hotel charged me £7 tray service but when the food arrive it was 5 chicken wings and completely the wrong order. I was made to go down stairs with the food to reception who then ordered the correct food to be brought to the reception area! Really bad service. Apart from those things the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. There was air con and I was able to store my suitcase after checkout.

Once again I had a good stay and they looked after my request of a room overlooking the main road. I am staying here again early October and hope they respect my requests again as have 4 rooms booked

We are with my young daughter who needed to be up early for a important swim meet and when checking in I asked to be in a quiet room, instead we got next to the lift, which was a busy one at that ( I got refused a room change) and inconsiderate people at 2.45am decided to have a loud conversation out side the lift waking us up !
