I've stayed at Ramada many times on work trips to Oxford. I advise choosing a room on the upper floor because on the ground floor you may hear stomping around late at night in the room overhead. There are also humming machines in a courtyard outside the ground floor windows - maybe that's the air heating system. In the room itself there's everything you need: clean shower room, white towels, free wifi, bedside lights, plug sockets, kettle with cups and tea bags etc. The bad reviews seem to come from people who expect a hotel. In fact it's a motel close to the M40 motorway and on the site of the Welcome Break services. I like its convenience, parking at £5 per night and lack of fuss.

They gave us a family room as I have a 2 year old child but the room was too far from reception (far end at the first floor; had to go through 5/6 doors to reach my room and there was no lift). I had to go a few times to bring my child and then luggages (had to do the same when we were checking out). I requested to change the room explaining my positio; it was changed but still was too far for a family with an infant as there was no other room available. We didn’t need any extra bed and we could have been offered a standard bed close to the reception considering child and luggages.

As we walked into the bedroom you were welcomed by a foul sewage smell. This smell never went away and seemed to be coming from the bathroom and the drainage. The only reason it was bearable was by keeping the bathroom door shut and bedroom window open. The overall place is very tired and would benefit from a bit of tlc. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful when enquiring about the charge points nearby. I needed to charge my car, although lots of Tesla charge points, there was only 2 other charging stations which were very busy. Though I did see they were putting new charge points in but weren’t currently in use on our trip,

The hotel is not the best. The hallway didn't smell very nice and not the cleanest. The room was poorm bed and pillows uncomfortable. Shower was terrible. Glad we only stayed 1 night. The breakfast was very poor as well. Tried to mention on checkout but they didn't seem interested. As I say it was only for 1 night

We were really disappointed with our stay. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable that we slept terrible and had really bad backs. The fire alarm woke us up at 12:30am and by the time we had got ready to evacuate the building it was then turned off. The alarm went off again at 8am. There was no apology from the staff. Terrible night sleep so ended up leaving a day earlier than planned. Breakfast was also disappointing. Fried eggs were rock solid and limited choice available. The communal areas were also dirty. I would not recommend staying here again.

I really like to service from Manager Suzuki but some other staff were not attentive enough. However the main problem was the humming like noise coming from unidentifiable source which starts from 3 o'clock in the morning. I couldn't get any proper sleep during my 4 day sleep.

Shower room very small ,dated , executive room was likr 3 star. Setvice was ok. Poor wifi , no phone service in the room, it was dusty , smelly, felt old dated carpet and facility.

The breakfast was very poor as well. Tried to mention on checkout but they didn't seem interested. As I say it was only for 1 night

We were really disappointed with our stay. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable that we slept terrible and had really bad backs. The fire alarm woke us up at 12:30am and by the time we had got ready to evacuate the building it was then turned off. The alarm went off again at 8am. There was no apology from the staff. Terrible night sleep so ended up leaving a day earlier than planned. Breakfast was also disappointing. Fried eggs were rock solid and limited choice available. The communal areas were also dirty. I would not recommend staying here again.

I really like to service from Manager Suzuki but some other staff were not attentive enough. However the main problem was the humming like noise coming from unidentifiable source which starts from 3 o'clock in the morning. I couldn't get any proper sleep during my 4 day sleep.

The staff is so so nice. The place is falling apart. It's filthy. it smells so bad. it's so so far from Oxford. the lighting will make you want to end your life. The location is so depressing. it's like a homeless shelter.

Shower room very small ,dated , executive room was likr 3 star. Setvice was ok. Poor wifi , no phone service in the room, it was dusty , smelly, felt old dated carpet and facility.
