Wonderful hotel, lovely staff, well worth a visit

Booked this for a late getaway as we’ve stayed here before. Nice location and an easy walk into the city centre.

Met with very friendly and courteous staff who speedily and efficiently checked us in and took us through the facilities available to us.

We had a lovely stay for my Mum's birthday, staff were particularly attentive and welcoming. Great breakfasts and beautiful room.

Lovely hotel room and friendly stall

I think this is possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in! The building is absolutely beautiful and with its 195 years of history I found it very intriguing. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating and called up to check we were happy with the room shorty after we arrived. The room was perfect (no5) with the most comfortable bed. The breakfast was all served to you and faultless. There was plenty of space to park, for free and the ground were very well kept. I can not fault this hotel and didn’t want to come home 😂 It’s a brilliant location too with the town centre and hall of Cornwall being only a 10 min walk. We will definitely return.

Enjoyed our stay. Only problem was the room wasn’t heated and we couldn’t get the radiator to work. Had to ask for a portable heater.

The room was no 24. A junior suite. Very nice room. Warm and cosy. Bathroom had some signs if wear. Shower very slippery. Overall a nice comfy room snd comfy bed. Disappointed with menu ! Expected more choice and better quality & presentation. Great to have a breakfast cooked and not buffett. Lovely staff, pleasant & helpful.

Great Room, Great service. The Bed linen could be better. Polycotton is most unpleasant to sleep in. Bed could have been more comfy.

Stayed for a wedding held at the property. The staff were terrific and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and the rates were very reasonable.

Lovely hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly. We only stayed for one night but really couldn’t fault it at all.

The level of service provided at the Alverton is absolutely excellent. Nothing is too much trouble and you truly feel like a valued guest. For a busy hotel there is a peaceful atmosphere that is quite remarkable. This is the best hotel in Truro and by far the best I have stayed in for some time.
