The Butlers Hotel

I didn't have breakfast. However, whilst the room was tidy the pillows were like concrete blocks. Also the bathroom had damp and fungus because they dont have an extractor fan. The room also are in need of decoration. I paid £89 and i wouldnt say it was worth £30. Disappointed. Whilst the lady on reception was polite and courteous i wont be staying there again. I work in Leeds a few times a year so i will put this on my 'do not use' list of properties.

The hotel reception staff very good and polite The bedding was clean , That’s it Room filthy throughout dust and dirt all over unkempt and very very DATED the front and back of hotel dirty and full of potholes The telly was older than me , I’m truly sorry to be negative but wow , Never again ,

Friendly staff on check in everything as described and very homely comfy room

Perfect for my needs, hotel a little tired but dwoukdnt stop my booking again. Breakfast was superb and staff were super friendly and helpful.

I liked the check in till 11pm. Thought i was going to be late at 10pm

Full of mud in carpets, no hot water in the morning, broken tiles etc

The room was reasonably priced and was near to my son and sadly that was the only plus point. Although there was a small fridge and kettle the only socket was an extension lead that was suspended when appliances were plugged in. The bathroom ceiling over the bath was water damaged and gaffa taped up and the grout was stained, and as far as I was concerned should not have guests in until repaired.

Better suited for the homeless, English breakfast was good

The rooms offered were not the rooms you advertised on your site that I thought I had booked. Basement rooms showing signs of damp and also smelling damp.

For the money it's good value. But the property rooms are old fashioned and need a refurb. Very helpful staff.

Lovely receptionist. Good location. Room and building was very tired. The lock on the bedroom door did not work well.

The price of the booking was my reason for going to butler's.It was very competitive and reasonable and it's location suited my visit to Leeds.

Hotel is tired. Room was small with two uncomfortable small single beds. The light switches operated intermittently and buzzed, suggesting at best a loose connection. The bathroom ceiling showed signs of historical leaking from above.

Forgotten I've stayed before

Mold in shower. Carpets not hoovered. Bed base had previously collapsed and been filled with pillows and blankets. Probably the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in. Poor nights sleep in a very grubby run down building. Needs money spent soon. Cobwebs in dining room at breakfast,which incidentally was average at best for 7 quid.

Firstly I’d like to say I wasn’t informed of a shared bathroom which was dirty by the way, we had 1 room with 3 single beds the beds were comfy and the white linen in bed were clean. There wasn’t a bed side cabinet between each bed so I really didn’t have anywhere to put my glasses and jewellery when took them off at night. There was a smell when you walked in,though the window was open,the window latch was broken so there was a chill coming in through it at night,the drawers that had tea/coffee things on was dirty behind it like it hadn’t been clean/ vacuumed for some time. The room was long but not wide enough for storage of our luggage, the tv on wall facing the door as you walked in was small so even if we did want to watch it the person in the end bed wouldn’t be able to see it. It needed to be a bigger screen and in middle of wall. The walls need a paint a neutral look would be much nicer.

Bed comfy and bed linen clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Room badly needs a lick of paint and a good deep clean. Showers aren't being properly cleaned - only once over many years do I recall getting an acceptable clean shower. A little extra care and attention and this could be a really nice place to stay.
