We were somewhat disappointed with the offering. From the outside it looks really nice and the situation overlooking the village green and duckpond is idyllic.
The parking which is on the road in front of the property can be problamatic depending how busy the pub is.
The room we had was out the back in a converted barn, up a flight of metal stairs which could have tricky had it been raining.
The room was small and very basic. The mattress on the bed was awful and gave absolutely no support. The bathroom was extremely small and just about adequate, not big enough for two to use at the same time.
We ate in the pub meeting friends who lived close by. The menu was good and varied, and the food was very good. The service was also good, although we did feel a little rushed to order desert.
Breakfast was also disappointing although the offering was good. We both had poached eggs which at best were luke warm and the mushrooms were missed off my wife's order.
Overall quite disappointing and really not value for money.
Would we stay again, I'm afraid not.
