Situated in beautiful village, in superb countryside. Comfortable bedroom, good facilities and nice staff. I will recommend it to my friends and family.

Friendly staff / accommodating of storing my bike

The food was fabulous and so was the service at dinner. The room was so dated and so dirty it was awful. The curtains were ripped, the shower flooded so I moved the cover over the drain and oh my goodness, it had never ever been cleaned! The floor of the room was so out and sloping that the bed kept moving. No headboard so the pillows kept falling off the bed too. There is a large green light above the door which is so bright, we got not sleep. We tried to cover it in clothes and a pillow but still so bright. It was so dusty in the room we could write our names in it! Breakfast was nice but one of our party was gluten free and they put the gluten free toast next to the standard bread. Has such potential but the basics just aren’t being met at all. Disappointing.

No hot water for a shower is pretty important.

I stay once a year here, when I play golf nearby. It is starting to look a little tired and the Bluebell Corner room I stayed in certainly needs freshening up. But the staff, food and drink and location remain fIrst class.

We were somewhat disappointed with the offering. From the outside it looks really nice and the situation overlooking the village green and duckpond is idyllic. The parking which is on the road in front of the property can be problamatic depending how busy the pub is. The room we had was out the back in a converted barn, up a flight of metal stairs which could have tricky had it been raining. The room was small and very basic. The mattress on the bed was awful and gave absolutely no support. The bathroom was extremely small and just about adequate, not big enough for two to use at the same time. We ate in the pub meeting friends who lived close by. The menu was good and varied, and the food was very good. The service was also good, although we did feel a little rushed to order desert. Breakfast was also disappointing although the offering was good. We both had poached eggs which at best were luke warm and the mushrooms were missed off my wife's order. Overall quite disappointing and really not value for money. Would we stay again, I'm afraid not.

Room was good. Really good breakfast. great location with some lovely walks close by. The mattress could probably be upgraded but apart from that, a great stay.

The trip was great! Food excellent, room spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shower was a bit difficult to open, but otherwise really enjoyable stay.

Nice little pub/hotel in a cosy village. Free parking outside, easy check-in, clean and tidy room, lovely breakfast. Easy taxi and train links into Wembley Park Station.

A welcoming village pub with great atmosphere, helpful staff, good quality pub food, excellent breakfast. An overnight stop was really enjoyable.

Easy check in and friendly helpful staff throughout. Really peaceful picturesque location and yet close enough to Warner Bros studios. Allowed me to work in the bar after breakfast even though it was supposed to be closed.

Lovely village pub with friendly, helpful staff and a warm atmosphere. Room clean, bed very comfortable food good. Great walks nearby. Would stay again and would recommend. Many thanks to the team.
