The building dates to 1107, but has been successfully updated to accommodate today's traveler. Our room was spacious, with a very modern en-suite bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant had a great variety available for both dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious. It was a great place to spend our last night in the UK.

Room was large and very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Food was good and they have a good beer selection. Price was very reasonable and it is in an excellent location for accessing Heathrow. The staff were nice.
The only negatives were that the room was very hot (there was no fan) and because we had to have the windows open, it was quite noisy with buses and trucks passing by. Despite that I still slept reasonably well… and I didn’t see or here any ghosts!

This was our second stay at The Ostrich Inn, and it is the perfect place to stay before flying out of Heathrow airport (which is only 5 miles away). The rooms are very clean and comfortable with lots of lovely touches like tea and coffee making supplies, nice toiletries, and a fan for hot weather times. Staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is full of historic details. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks out in the garden, and had a great meal in the restaurant. Breakfast the next day was delicious as well. This place is a hidden gem for those who travel through Heathrow!

The only redeeming factors of this stay was that my room was large and I did eat at the pub on my first night and the food was good.
Where do I begin. Firstly if you stay in rooms 1-4 then expect to be on the ground floor right next to an incredibly busy road. I was room 3, the main window looked out on to this road so your curtains have to remain shut. However this doesn’t stop the busses and large vehicle notices every couple of minutes.
The door to the room is about 6ft from the entrance to the pub, I might as well have tried to sleep at one of the tables at the bar. Pub is open till about 11:30pm so expect constant chat just outside your door.
The window to the bathroom opened out to the beer garden where the lovely smell of smoke creeps in now and then.
The bed had to be the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. Truly truly awful. One of my pillows had what seemed to be mould on it.
I paid £395 for a four night business trip. This is a ridiculous price for what you get. I can sometimes overlook these things if I was able to get a good nights sleep but with all the above this was impossible.
I really wish I could get my money back on this because I feel robbed. Almost £100 a night is criminal.
