Very comfortable bed. Tasty breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. Quick check in

Staff were great and really friendly. The guy on nights was very helpful. Parking good. Would have liked the tea/milk etc to be replenished on the 2nd day but otherwise no problems.

Parking was perfect and staff very helpful. Rooms were very tired and lacked any finishing. Bed very comfortable and sleep was spot on. Loved the central location, a bit of investment would fill the place all week through the summer.

Not true photos of property it was dirty smelly all facilities ie bar was closed staff were totally unhelpful when i said room was disgusting they said nothing can be done as cleaners were not in plug holes were full of hair toilet had feces still in it from someone before curtains were stained orange ment to be white dead bugs and dirt all over the ledges kettle was full of limescale bed was disgusting in all had to leave but was told have to email there main office for refunds as they didnt have a manager available for any enquiries went to pub accross the road where we were informed that it was old great western hotel that had been bought out ( photos they use )and since then all the staff had left and kitchen was condemned BUT THEY STILL OFFER BREAKFAST? And that it once was as advertised but not is more like a drug hostal when leaving was asked by what i persume was someone living in one of the rooms ( Do i know where to get any good GEAR ) over all i would avoid if zero is an option for score then minus 10 would be my score disgusting place needs investigating from travel companies and took off there sites til then

Stayed here a number of times. Central,good parking. No problem with accomodation. Bus at door,railway 10mins. Read comments, but don't agree. Will use again

This Hotel needs someone like the 'Home Inspector' to sort it out. You can see it was grand once upon a time, but now the bare minimum is done to make a guests stay tolerable. If it wasn't for the gentleman staff member, I would not have stayed a minute longer after my first night there. -Bathroom not cleaned, the previous guests used toiletries were still on the bath rim. -The remote control for TV was in the bathroom -Toilet paper was almost finished -Everything felt grubby -Electrical plug on the wall loose -Bed was as hard as a wooden board -Net curtain torn -wifi completely unstable -Toilet paper stuffed into peeps hole. -Receptionist made me feel unwelcome, when I asked for a glass of cold water, she looked at me as if I was an alien, and with a bar behind us, with ice, I don't think I was asking for too much. I would have paid for it if necessary, but there was absolutely no effort to get one for me. I am in my 60's and had just walked from the station with my luggage during one of England's hottest days on record. - The breakfast tables were sticky, no salt and pepper pots, or sugar, you are given a cup without a saucer, no milk jug, just a tumbler with a little milk in it. On the first day there was a milk line on the glass which meant it had not been cleaned from the last use. Second day there was a pepper pot on the table with no stopper in the bottom, it was completely empty. It became laughable in the end. Truly feel quite gut to have given them any money.

Great central location, ideal for the concert. Comfy bed with TV and bath with shower head. Clean. Friendly staff available 24hrs. Toilet cistern filled up all night so kept getting woken up and had to ask for extra toilet rolls. Seemed to be on restriction. No shower gel or soap. Simple things that would have made a big difference to ratings. Could have done with a new shower curtain and shower head holder.

There was food on them carpet under the table, no toilet roll and the room wads cold at night and no way of turning on heating. Told the reception staff and they said they had not even been in the rooms so there was nothing they could do.

The whole place needs a refurb. My bedroom could have done with a clean and the toilet actually needed flushing before I could use it. The stairs and corridors wer dusty in corners and one corridor had a peculiar smell. I know it was an old building but I’m sure even old buildings could have lifts installed and maybe ramps and here one or two steps are. Not good value for money and the breakfast certainly wasn’t. The restaurant and bar are were clean and smart and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

Plus side: Location is great being opposite the castle and 1 minute from pubs and restaurants, beautiful exterior, dedicated parking at the rear which is great for a town centre, staff are pleasant. Minus side, hotel is rather shabby away from the foyer, a warren of stairs and corridors with no lift, tired decor, the suite we were in had no tv in bedroom only in the lounge area, a hole in the carpet, hot water didn't come through for several minutes so wasn't sure it was working, a hair in the soap dish, bedside light failed, headboard coming away from the wall. To be fair the price i got online for the suite of £65 was not unreasonable these days for the quality but any more would have been too rich and the photos online of the room did not translate to the reality. If you want a basic no frills rather run down Tonbridge town centre bedroom for a cheaper price then this is it.

Bed comfy. Room fairly clean but staining on bottom of shower curtain and pencil left on floor in bathroom. No hand soap or shower gel in room. Cold tap no proessure. Shower cold. Breakfast nice, but very small portions on the full english. Rotating toaster not working proeprly as bread gets stuck at back. This was a Best Western Hotel, and was AA 3 Stars. Not sure it would get 3 stars now. Overall, it served it purpose. It had a bar, but didn't serve food in the evening.

Booked 4 rooms for work associates, but the rooms were so dirty, they didn't stay but went elsewhere.

there was mould in the the bathroom,and broken fittings. didnt want to use the shower. bed was clean
