Fairfield by Marriott Amritsar

Staff couldn't be more helpful. The front desk team, the breakfast and dinner dining room teams, bar team and clearing staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and interested in their jobs. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the chef made me something within my dietary limits! I was very happy that they also had soy milk for coffee!!! A beautiful hotel. The pool was a great way to escape the heat. It would have been nice to have more shade so we could stay up there longer, but it was too hot. Over all a wonderful stay

Unfortunately, this was not a pleasant day as the bedrooms had mould and cracks on the walls the bathroom the curtains even though we had booked 6 to 7 rooms between all our family members somehow the Customer Service was not great at all and they refused to do anything about it. This swimming pools had pigeons in it which were drinking and leaving poo in. Overall the hotel just wasn’t family friendly or adequate for the pricing that they charge. I don’t think I would ever recommend sending anyone here at dinner day one of the family members had asthma and mould is the worst thing possibly for this.

It was a disappointment for a Marriott hotel. Far from the main attractions and the room I was in was very worn and not well kept although clean, despite it being a superior king room. Whilst we were offered an alternative room, we declined as that was no better. Breakfast was a let down but evening meals a la carte were good. Swimming pool was not appealing - it appeared it was polluted with the city air and to such a degree you couldn't see the rungs of the steps clearly. I felt there was not enough fresh air circulating in hotel at all. There was air freshner machines in numerous places and stuff being sprayed to deter mosquitoes. I found it difficult to breathe here

the gym was not ready yet

Food was poor. Amritsari fish was deep fried with a dark brown crust (as if fried 3-4 times). Chicken was served cold and had to send it back to get it warmed up. Did not order mains after this experience.

First impressions on entry to hotel are very poor. Not what we were expecting. The hotel rooms are in urgent need of repairs. The smell of damp is apparent on entry to hallways and rooms. The furniture in the rooms is stained and not to standard. The gutter outlets in the bathrooms release sewage smells. Clearly they are not protected by one way outlet system. The staff are professional, but are let down by the condition of the overall property. Didn’t eat anything there so can’t comment on food. We booked the hotel due to the swimming pool. Didn’t use it due to its unattractive visual appearance and surroundings. This is a 3 star hotel at best, needs updating and we shall not be staying here again.

Girl at the reception was very good to communicate and understandable. Breakfast was very nice. We stayed in this hotel in year 2024 and will keep staying in coming years. Well done all the team. Keep it up and all the very best. 👍👍🙏🙏👍

Nice hotel. Rooms was very clean but one of our rooms was a littel worn down but absolutely comfortable. Staff was very helpful and serviceminded. The hotel is in a compound away from the street witch was very nice and quiet. I think good value for the money. I would come again.

There was a bug in the washroom , also issue with AC not cooling . Restaurant food taste has gone down and service is ok nothing which will bring me back to stay here

Good location, short drive to the main old city area. Rooms are spacious & are ideal for a short stay. Hooks in the bathroom are needed (no where to hang towels) but otherwise all good. Gym ok. Pool area needs shade provision with better cleaning & maintanence of overall area. Breakfast is very good & overall staff are helpful & friendly.

The breakfast spread was amazing

During my recent Asia trip, I have stayed at multiple hotels daily. This one really stood out. Staff is very friendly and helpful. From dining to reception, everyone is great. Room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended this hotel.
