Our group of 2 kids and 2 adults (Mum and Grandma) stayed 3 nights. We wish we'd stayed longer, or transferred from Kuta earlier. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, and felt the whole experience was restful and relaxing. The pool was lovely, and the set up of the villa with 2 separate bedrooms and an open living space was nice. The property is quite secluded but does still have a bit of local traffic/activity noise as the villa is located at the front. That would be something to consider if you are fussy sleepers. However, most of the noise was actually wildlife-related, including some friendly frogs and birds. We found this quite charming and it added to the 'retreat' feel. The property is a little out of the way, only a short distance from the town centre by readily-available taxi. However, we noted that exploring on foot was quite treacherous for children and older people, given busy traffic and complete lack of road berm/pedestrain pavements in the area. Great things about this property are the lovely staff, beautiful private villa pool, sense of privacy and tranquility, friendly wildlife, spacious villa, lots of hot water for showers, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, air conditioning, clean facilities. The main thing to be wary of is the fragile plumbing system (very standard in Bali). But with correct procedure, things are fine. Also note that the self catering equipment is very limited. But who wants to cook on holiday anyway? Would recommend.

It was a beautiful resort so relaxing and quiet. Alot of steps but I think this is normal in this area.

I booked a suite for 5 nights and decided to extend because I really liked it. A little bit outside of Ubud but easily accessible by scooter, and there are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everyone working here was super friendly and my room was beautiful. The rooms are only accessible through stairs which might be an issue for some people. A water fountain at reception would be nice to have, but that is really the only potential improvement I can think of. Overall, I would really recommend staying here!

El peor hotel en el que me he hospedado en toda mi vida. Las sabanas tenian manchas por todos lados, incluyendo unas que parecían sangre. Las paredes chorreadas. Los muebles sucios, el baño olia a orines de meses. Cero aseso y cero mantenimiento. Era una reserva de 6 noches y solo me quede la primera ya que llegue a media noche. Inmediatamente despertando nos cambiamos a otro hotel

Das Hotel ist ein wenig abgelegen, hat mir jedoch sehr gefallen. Das Zimmer war sauber, jedoch müsste das eine oder andere Mobiliar aus getauscht werden. Das Frühstück wurde aufs Zimmer gebracht, was ziemlich Luxus war. Die Qualität des Essens war gut. Der Pool war nicht ganz sauber, hatte das Gefühl, dass die Umwälzpumpe defekt ist. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, jedoch dürfte es 1-2 Mitarbeiter mehr vertragen. Die Internetverbindung war mal an, dann wieder aus. Da müsste was gemacht werden.

Stayed one night in transit. Had emailed hotel in advance to let them know that my arrival time would be after midnight due to a late flight and they confirmed that the checkin was available. On arrival to the hotel at about 1:30am I could not find anyone despite ringing bells and phone. It was lucky that another guest was leaving on a very early tour and they pointed out the hotel staff room - my driver managed to wake the staff. Apart from that the hotel is okay. Room was okay although when I dropped an item behind a cupboard, on retrieving it I found a lot of dirt and dead insects and dried out food.

Very nice hotel in Ubud! Everything about this place was great, from the rooms to the staff and even breakfast! You’re surrounded by green and animals. The only slight downside is that the chickens woke us up a little early, but other than that no complaints :) 10/10

This place is suitable for those who would like to live in a jungle setting and those who just need an accomodation to sleep and to place their things. In short, I didn't enjoy my stay as the place is secluded and I feel like I was staying in the middle of the jungle and if you're ok with a soggy surrounding( it rains alot there) then this is your place. However, what I really liked about that place is the staff's humility and friendliness. They were really wonderful.

This hotel is located +/- 10 minute drive from the Ubud center. Because of that you feel that you're in the middle of the jungle. Away from the crowds: the only things you hear are the animals around you. We would like to give a big thumbs up to the staff, which was incredibly helpfull. Our boats to the Gili's were cancelled just a day before departure and we needed to cancel/change some reservations. We were quite stressed but fortunately the staff helped us out by calling all the hotels and BlueWater Express (the boat company). Thanks again for that. By the way, they have a transport service which is available on demand so you can always go to Ubud center if you'd like. It's just 50k IDR (and on some times it's for free). If you go to Ubud and want a real "jungle experience": this place is recommended.

Personnel toujours aux petits soins (comme dans tout Bali), discret et d'une grande gentillesse. Hôtel un peu perdu dans la jungle, atmosphère tres agréable. Chambres très propres et materiaux nobles. Une baie vitrée qui permet de contempler la forêt la nuit. Un peu loin du centre d'Ubud par contre si on est à pieds (au moins 40 minutes de marche).

lovely place. super friendly staffs!!! place : i loved stayed at puri payogan. it is not near from the main street but it is quite and lovely place to staty. I could rent bike from puri payogan. i didnt need to arrange bike for myself. it was very good. room : spacious! cute interior. loved all!!! breakfast : fried rice was very good! loved to have breakfast with jungle view. they serve breakfast when i want. (starting from 8:00 am?) staff : i really really do loved all staffs here. i even gave them mask packs for small gift. they helped me to ride bike and helped my mom a lot. they are all super nice and kind. wish to go back and stay more. dining near puri payogan: there is a place ; balinese home cooking. it is working distance from puri payongan. they serve balinese dishes and they were all good. recommeneded!!!

Our group of 2 kids and 2 adults (Mum and Grandma) stayed 3 nights. We wish we'd stayed longer, or transferred from Kuta earlier. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa with private pool, and felt the whole experience was restful and relaxing. The pool was lovely, and the set up of the villa with 2 separate bedrooms and an open living space was nice. The property is quite secluded but does still have a bit of local traffic/activity noise as the villa is located at the front. That would be something to consider if you are fussy sleepers. However, most of the noise was actually wildlife-related, including some friendly frogs and birds. We found this quite charming and it added to the 'retreat' feel. The property is a little out of the way, only a short distance from the town centre by readily-available taxi. However, we noted that exploring on foot was quite treacherous for children and older people, given busy traffic and complete lack of road berm/pedestrain pavements in the area. Great things about this property are the lovely staff, beautiful private villa pool, sense of privacy and tranquility, friendly wildlife, spacious villa, lots of hot water for showers, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, air conditioning, clean facilities. The main thing to be wary of is the fragile plumbing system (very standard in Bali). But with correct procedure, things are fine. Also note that the self catering equipment is very limited. But who wants to cook on holiday anyway? Would recommend.

El peor hotel en el que me he hospedado en toda mi vida. Las sabanas tenian manchas por todos lados, incluyendo unas que parecían sangre. Las paredes chorreadas. Los muebles sucios, el baño olia a orines de meses. Cero aseso y cero mantenimiento. Era una reserva de 6 noches y solo me quede la primera ya que llegue a media noche. Inmediatamente despertando nos cambiamos a otro hotel

Das Hotel ist ein wenig abgelegen, hat mir jedoch sehr gefallen. Das Zimmer war sauber, jedoch müsste das eine oder andere Mobiliar aus getauscht werden. Das Frühstück wurde aufs Zimmer gebracht, was ziemlich Luxus war. Die Qualität des Essens war gut. Der Pool war nicht ganz sauber, hatte das Gefühl, dass die Umwälzpumpe defekt ist. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, jedoch dürfte es 1-2 Mitarbeiter mehr vertragen. Die Internetverbindung war mal an, dann wieder aus. Da müsste was gemacht werden.

I booked a suite for 5 nights and decided to extend because I really liked it. A little bit outside of Ubud but easily accessible by scooter, and there are a few shops and restaurants within walking distance. Everyone working here was super friendly and my room was beautiful. The rooms are only accessible through stairs which might be an issue for some people. A water fountain at reception would be nice to have, but that is really the only potential improvement I can think of. Overall, I would really recommend staying here!

Stayed one night in transit. Had emailed hotel in advance to let them know that my arrival time would be after midnight due to a late flight and they confirmed that the checkin was available. On arrival to the hotel at about 1:30am I could not find anyone despite ringing bells and phone. It was lucky that another guest was leaving on a very early tour and they pointed out the hotel staff room - my driver managed to wake the staff. Apart from that the hotel is okay. Room was okay although when I dropped an item behind a cupboard, on retrieving it I found a lot of dirt and dead insects and dried out food.

Very nice hotel in Ubud! Everything about this place was great, from the rooms to the staff and even breakfast! You’re surrounded by green and animals. The only slight downside is that the chickens woke us up a little early, but other than that no complaints :) 10/10

The place is amazing with a very nice staff and free breakfast, the only little small inconvenience was the road leading to it but other than that 4.5/5 i would recommend definitely.

This place is suitable for those who would like to live in a jungle setting and those who just need an accomodation to sleep and to place their things. In short, I didn't enjoy my stay as the place is secluded and I feel like I was staying in the middle of the jungle and if you're ok with a soggy surrounding( it rains alot there) then this is your place. However, what I really liked about that place is the staff's humility and friendliness. They were really wonderful.

This hotel is located +/- 10 minute drive from the Ubud center. Because of that you feel that you're in the middle of the jungle. Away from the crowds: the only things you hear are the animals around you. We would like to give a big thumbs up to the staff, which was incredibly helpfull. Our boats to the Gili's were cancelled just a day before departure and we needed to cancel/change some reservations. We were quite stressed but fortunately the staff helped us out by calling all the hotels and BlueWater Express (the boat company). Thanks again for that. By the way, they have a transport service which is available on demand so you can always go to Ubud center if you'd like. It's just 50k IDR (and on some times it's for free). If you go to Ubud and want a real "jungle experience": this place is recommended.

Personnel toujours aux petits soins (comme dans tout Bali), discret et d'une grande gentillesse. Hôtel un peu perdu dans la jungle, atmosphère tres agréable. Chambres très propres et materiaux nobles. Une baie vitrée qui permet de contempler la forêt la nuit. Un peu loin du centre d'Ubud par contre si on est à pieds (au moins 40 minutes de marche).
