A large luxurious room kept very clean. The beautiful, swimmable beach and the pool both have plenty of shade and loungers. The all-inclusive food and drink was great. From the omelette station in the morning to the poolside daiquiri to the local beer. The minibar was always refilled but that beer was not as good and no coke only coke zero. The 'kitchen' alacarte meals are good but the 'garden' buffets for lunch and dinner were excellent.

The property looks very nice. The breakfast and lunch area were bright and airy, and I appreciated having an indoor, air conditioned space to eat breakfast and lunch. The grounds were lovely with lots of greenery. The pool was nice, with swim up bar. Really nice beach chairs and covered areas on the beach provided. Better than other hotels nearby. The guest rooms tho, need updating. The furniture has clear signs of wear and tear. The rain-like shower heads need either a serious cleaning or to be replaced altogether. I chose not to use it and used the hand held shower head instead. The first room I was given- on the ground floor- definitely had a noticeable funky smell the second I entered. I switched rooms to a much better smelling room, but was informed the balcony looked out to the street. That said, the street was a side street with vendor stores and was not that busy. I had spent the previous 7 nights at Sofitel- a 10 min walk south on the beach, which is a much more luxurious and expensive resort. That said, the staff at Sol were just as pleasant and attentive as at Sofitel. For the price of staying at Sol, it was well worth the money spent.

We had a great stay the room was very spacious and staff were fantastic. There were plenty of good food and drink options. The resort itself is a little older but still nice.

Overall, I rate this property excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that during my stay, I didn't have the chance to fully experience the all-inclusive aspect. The reason for that was that the facility lacked options for pure vegetarian food. Every single dish had meat or eggs. So we were limited to eating fruits and a few hand-selected veg dishes. BUT I'm very appreciative of the staff for accommodating our needs and the chef for making us dishes outside of the menu. On the very last day, staff brought us a veg menu that they no longer used at their facility.

Very nice all-inclusive hotel. It's not big but we stayed there for 2 nights only and we liked it.

From the time we arrived until the time we left we were wanting for nothing. Food was enjoyable, and the all inclusive drinks package was wide and varied.

Untruthful staff at the reception desk. When sincerity is not present in a conversation with a guest, all interest in staying in a hotel is lost.

After a long journey from NY, we were just looking for a place to shake off any jet lag and not have to go anywhere. This place was perfect for us. 24 hour restaurant, pool and beach. Very relaxing, great staff and just a nice environment. Would highly recommend.

Do not use the concierge for a rights and taxis. The rides that they called from the hotel. They rip you off, and don’t take you where you wanna go. And if you order, do not order off the menu. Anything that comes out of the kitchen from the menu is not good there. It’s just old. I hatch my first night. I had a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp look like and tasted like they have been cooked a month ago, and I didn’t even have to chew it. It was disgusting. Sorry to say that, but it was true. Everything I ordered from the menu. Anytime was bad, but they were OK.

Overall our stay was great. Staff was accommodating and friendly. The property itself was very outdated and when it rained it smelled like sewage.

Lovely hotel very relaxing with great pool and lovely beach. Great little restaurants along the beach , resort breakfast very good. Great place for relaxing stay in comfort.
