Nice hotel with nice rooftop

We stayed at Grand Hotel Duomo from 17th to 19th October for a joint 40th birthday celebration, and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. Our first room (122) was in poor condition: - The room was dirty, with debris on the floor and visible wall damage. - Light fixtures were loose, curtains were stitched shut and couldn’t be closed. - The bathroom drainage smelled strongly of urine, and the accessible-style shower would have flooded the entire floor if used. - Only one plug socket was available, making it difficult for two guests to charge devices. - TV wires were tangled and exposed, and the ceiling paint was peeling. - Most concerningly, one of us was bitten after getting into the bed. After showing photos to reception just after midnight, we were moved to Room 126. While it didn’t smell and had less debris, it still had a hole in the wall, marked surfaces, and midges flying around. We raised these issues in person and followed up with a formal complaint, but received no refund or goodwill gesture. For a hotel marketed as 4-star, the room conditions were unacceptable. We don’t mind simple accommodation, but basic cleanliness and maintenance should be a given. Would not recommend based on this experience.

The hotel is very dated and certainly not a 4 star hotel. The room was clean and staff were friendly enough. However, in our room the tv only showed one tv channel that was selling chairs, there was no iron we had to ask for one and the decor is very old and worn. The room didn’t even have a kettle etc. It’s a hotel badly needing a lick of paint and modernised. Location wise it is a short walk from Pisa San Rossore train station and a few minutes from the leaning tower which is great. Overall it is very basic, not 4 star and badly needing a revamp.

It was super close to the tower of Pisa and the walking sites. Hotel is fine as we stayed for one night. Very close to the train station and we found it convenient. The staff at check in was perfect and we got our room when we arrived in the morning. We’d recommend it.

Excellent stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone. I would say there again

Frokost bra Nært

The property itself is a little tired although there are signs that it is refurbishing. The bathroom was new. The staff were very welcoming and well trained. The rooftop bar and restaurant was amazing with incredible views. The drinks, food and staff were excellent and it made for a memorable one night stay. The location was right in the middle of things and we were sent great instructions of where and how to park.

Excellent location for main monuments,, dining eating options, safe for a woman alone. Very well run hotel!

Everything is perfect.

Difficile de faire mieux en termes d’emplacement près de la fameuse tour de Pise, car on rejoint la Piazza dei Miracoli en 2 minutes à peine. Et que dire de la terrasse qui offre une vue sur les toits de marbre du complexe religieux de Pisa et de la tour. Un bar y est ouvert le soir. Le restaurant de l’hôtel était bondé, ce qui est bon signe! Le service à l’accueil est impeccable, je dirais même digne des grands hôtels. J’ai eu la chance d’avoir ma chambre plus tôt comme elle était dispo, alors que je m’attendais à simplement laisser mon bagage en consigne. Les chambres datent un peu, mais la mienne avait très bien vieilli. Tout est très propre et bien entretenu. J’aurais aimé pouvoir ouvrir la climatisation individuelle comme il faisait encore très chaud avec le soleil qui plombait, mais à la nuit venue, j’ai ouvert la porte-fenêtre et le tour fut joué! Le lobby est aussi agréable, un peu en retrait de la réception pour jaser un peu en toute tranquillité. Le rapport qualité-prix-emplacement est parmi les meilleurs que j’ai jamais vus! Honnêtement, je m’attendais à pire pour le prix de xxx que j’ai payé pour un 7 octobre, encore dans la saison relativement haute de Toscane. Chapeau à l’équipe qui ne s’est pas reposée sur ses lauriers avec son emplacement, mais qui continue clairement à bien s’occuper des clients et de l’hôtel! Seuls bémols: la seule prise électrique est sous le bureau donc il faut se pencher beaucoup dans un petit coin pour la rejoindre. Aussi, l

Wifi was terrible! Couldn’t stay logged in. Couldn’t watch video or load Facebook at all. Room was ancient, blow dryer from 1950-1960. Bed was hard as a rock. Noise from street below was an issue but they do provide you with earplugs. View from upper terrace was nice. Food at restaurant was good but service was terrible. Took an hour to get drinks and another hour to get food. Very disappointing, we almost left. Front desk staff were nice, breakfast was okay. Location was fantastic but I Would not recommend this hotel.
