Wonderful Japanese style hotel located less than ten minutes walk from Echigo Yuzawa Station - Futaba also provides free transfer to/from the station. This hotel is ideal for skiers and snowboarders - Benri Ski Rental has a branch within the hotel and provides daily free transfers to/from the slopes within the Yuzawa region. Ski rentals and ski pass purchase can be conveniently billed to the room. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Our clean and well maintained Japanese style room overlooks the slope and is spacious enough for four adults even has its own outdoor onsen bath. The half board package is great value for money - the Kaiseki dinner has a different menu every night, while the breakfast spread offers variety and is sumptuous. Futaba’s onsen is another delight, there are two each on the sixth and seventh floors and are rotated daily so we get to experience all of them during our stay. Overall Futaba provides a five-star experience and is highly recommended especially for visitors on a skiing holiday.

Hotel Futaba truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed as a family of five, and the room was incredibly spacious, more like staying in an apartment than a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find that both breakfast and dinner were included, which was a huge bonus and meant we didn’t have to go out searching for food after a long day of snowboarding. We experienced a kaiseki dinner for the first time and it was absolutely amazing, one of the best cultural experiences of our trip. The hotel is conveniently located close to the station and Yuzawa Kogen Resort, and having the ski room and equipment hire all in one place made everything so easy. The rooftop onsen was beautiful, and we also had a private in-room onsen, which was perfect for us. As I have tattoos and couldn’t use the public onsen, having an in-room option made the stay even more special. Overall, an exceptional stay for our family and one we would happily recommend.

Excellent hotel, it sits on the top of the hill that overlooks the city. The room was very comfortable and we happen to also have a private osen inside our bathroom in the balcony which was amazing. I recommend getting the room with breakfast. The city doesn't open early as most restaurant in the city opens in the afternoon. Unless your planning to skip breakfast I highly recommend you get breakfast option with your reservation. The hotel restaurant opens at 8pm, if your an early eater like myself, there are plenty of restaurants in the city that is about 8 minute downhill walk to that has plenty of options. The only downside of this hotel, is the shuttle bus that it offers does not go to any of the ski-resorts. You will need to take the ski resort shuttle that is pre-determine around the city. Otherwise, they offer shuttle to the train station.

a very good hotel near kagura resort. you can use local bus for just 380 yen or you can rent some equipment at boo ski rental for free shuttle. nice staff with warm welcome and very good traditional japanese dinner. very big and beautiful onsen on 6th and 7th floor

The half board package is great value for money - the Kaiseki dinner has a different menu every night, while the breakfast spread offers variety and is sumptuous. Futaba’s onsen is another delight, there are two each on the sixth and seventh floors and are rotated daily so we get to experience all of them during our stay. Overall Futaba provides a five-star experience and is highly recommended especially for visitors on a skiing holiday.

Hotel Futaba truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed as a family of five, and the room was incredibly spacious, more like staying in an apartment than a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised to find that both breakfast and dinner were included, which was a huge bonus and meant we didn’t have to go out searching for food after a long day of snowboarding. We experienced a kaiseki dinner for the first time and it was absolutely amazing, one of the best cultural experiences of our trip. The hotel is conveniently located close to the station and Yuzawa Kogen Resort, and having the ski room and equipment hire all in one place made everything so easy. The rooftop onsen was beautiful, and we also had a private in-room onsen, which was perfect for us. As I have tattoos and couldn’t use the public onsen, having an in-room option made the stay even more special. Overall, an exceptional stay for our family and one we would happily recommend.

Excellent hotel, it sits on the top of the hill that overlooks the city. The room was very comfortable and we happen to also have a private osen inside our bathroom in the balcony which was amazing. I recommend getting the room with breakfast. The city doesn't open early as most restaurant in the city opens in the afternoon. Unless your planning to skip breakfast I highly recommend you get breakfast option with your reservation. The hotel restaurant opens at 8pm, if your an early eater like myself, there are plenty of restaurants in the city that is about 8 minute downhill walk to that has plenty of options. The only downside of this hotel, is the shuttle bus that it offers does not go to any of the ski-resorts. You will need to take the ski resort shuttle that is pre-determine around the city. Otherwise, they offer shuttle to the train station.

素泊まりでしたが、15時チェックインと知りつつ14:30ぐらいにチェックインできるかと思って行ったら16時までチェックイン待たされました。多少早くチェックインできる経験しかなく、後ろ倒しになったのは初めてでびっくりしました。 お風呂もバスクリンのような風呂やぬるい風呂でなんだかな〜でした。

We love Yuzawa as a get one night get away. We stayed here because someone in our party wanted a private Onsen in the room. The rooms are large and great for families. However, the property is a bit date and the in room tub was small. They have a beautiful waterfall. Too bad it’s not lit at night nor could we go outside to take pictures

チェックインの際に朝食券を渡されたので料金の説明もなかったので朝食が無料でついてると思い食べに行ったが、チェックアウトの際に朝食代1人2,200円を徴収された。チェックインの際に説明があれば近くのカフェに行っていたのでなんとも不満な気分でした。2,200円に見合わない朝食だとも思いました。 ホテルの施設や特に温泉はとっても素敵で満足で冬のスキーシーズンにまた来ようと思っていたが、最後に不満な気持ちになりました。

a very good hotel near kagura resort. you can use local bus for just 380 yen or you can rent some equipment at boo ski rental for free shuttle. nice staff with warm welcome and very good traditional japanese dinner. very big and beautiful onsen on 6th and 7th floor

Wonderful Japanese style hotel located less than ten minutes walk from Echigo Yuzawa Station - Futaba also provides free transfer to/from the station. This hotel is ideal for skiers and snowboarders - Benri Ski Rental has a branch within the hotel and provides daily free transfers to/from the slopes within the Yuzawa region. Ski rentals and ski pass purchase can be conveniently billed to the room. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. Our clean and well maintained Japanese style room overlooks the slope and is spacious enough for four adults even has its own outdoor onsen bath.
