部屋は2階が貸切りで広いバルコニーもあり風呂もプライベート。ディナーのおまかせのお寿司はどれもこれも1級品でシェフの工夫が感じられ、忘れられない味でした。　ありがとうございました。

Such a cool experience staying in Miyajima, recommend!

For those coming to Miyajima to enjoy the island after the crowds leave, this is the perfect option. It's a cosy, traditional Japanese lodging with tatami rooms, a large soaking bath and a restaurant run by the owner downstairs. He works very hard to ensure everything runs smoothly. You must also have the omakase dinner run by the talented host, he is an exceptional sushi chef and it was by far some of the best food we have had in Japan.

This property is a traditional Japanese guesthouse, with 2 guest rooms located directly above the owners sushi restaurant. The Samurai room has sliding doors to an outdoor terrace. Both rooms share the toilet room (which is also used by restaurant guests) and a separate shower room. We were the only guests staying, so it wasn’t a big issue. Our reservation included an excellent omakase sushi dinner, which we highly recommend.

The owner was super nice & made us the best sushi in Japan 🇯🇵. Highly recommend.

Rigtig hyggeligt sted med autentisk japansk stemning. Værten et meget venlig. Vi valgte aftensmaden fra men fik en fin morgenmad bestående af brød, pølser, æg, frugt mm. Komforten af futonerne er ikke fantastisk, men sådan er det alle steder vi har prøvet dem. Ligger i et hyggeligt område cirka 15 min. gang fra færgen

This place is amazing, a good taste of traditional guest houses. The dinner was out this world, best sushi I ever had! Staff was helpful and very polite. Would stay there again on my next visit to Miyajima.

Staying at Traditional Machiya Hotel Shiomachi-An was the highlight of my trip! The sushi dinner was delicious, some of the best sushi I've ever had. The fish was so fresh and flavours were superb. The rooms were decorated in a beautiful style, full of traditional Japanese decor. It was amazing to stay somewhere special. The owner was very warm and welcoming and I'm so impressed that he runs this place himself. The location was excellent, set away from the super busy area, but close enough to walk to the sights and shopping. Thank you for the lovely travel memory.

Our 2 days stay at this very traditional home was another highlight of our 3 week trip to Japan. The best of all was the incredible and very extraordinary dinner with multiple, never before experienced, sushi courses. The chief is a bit strict about how to eat the fine food, but that's part of the fun "one bite" ;). Unforgettable days! Thanks very much

It's a sushi restaurant, not a hotel. When you think of staying at a delicious sushi restaurant, the following things seem inevitable. ・There is a lot of dust in the room. ・The lamp shade is torn. ・There are some stains on the futon. I think the accommodation could be a little cleaner.

Superbe expérience dans ce Ryokan juste à côté du sanctuaire de Miyajima et de son fameux Tori dans la mer. Les chambres traditionnelles sont calmes, confortables et spacieuses. Excellent accueil de la part de notre hôte qui nous a préparé un dîner fabuleux et très copieux. Le petit déjeuner était très bon également et il s'est également chargé de commander un taxi pour le retour à l'embarcadère. Merci beaucoup pour ce court séjour hors du temps!

It is located very close to the the Itsukushima shrine and food stands and stores. The dinner course was amazing! Great sushi chef and so much sashimi! It will satisfy you plenty. Highly recommended.

Just stayed one night with my family and we didn’t want to leave. The house is over 100 years old but has modern conveniences and was very clean and comfortable. The futon beds were perfect. The AC was strong. And best of all was the food. Dinner was a 12-13 course omakase with fish we’ve never tasted, like blowfish. My two teens absolutely loved the experience and are already asking to go back. The owner/chef was very friendly. He went with us on a night walk and took photos of us along the way. What hospitality!

Authentic Japanese experience sleeping on tatami mats in historic building. We had the entire upstairs to ourselves with 2 bedrooms, large bathing room, and separate toilet room. Sushi dinner was amazing! 14 courses of some of the best sushi we have ever eaten. Breakfast was also very good with generous portions. It is a bit of a walk from ferry ~15-20 minutes and stairs to bedrooms are very steep, so I recommend leaving large luggage in a locker or something and might not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. But definitely worth the inconvenience.

This is a great place if you are trying to find a place to stay or eat in Miyajima. The building consists of the two floors; the first floor as a sushi restaurant and the second floor with two bedrooms, a restroom, and a bath/shower room. Every part of the dinner and breakfast course were delicious and well made. Not only was the service 10/10 but the owner gave us a little tour of the neighborhood and took us to the hotspots. The biggest complaint is the only restroom available for restaurant customers was the one upstairs next to the bedrooms we were staying in. We would have preferred to have the restroom to ourselves during our stay. There was also an already opened and used water bottle in the fridge upstairs. Other than that, it was an amazing, delicious, and clean experience and will stay again!
