Our stay in this hostel was good. We arrived at almost midnight and me and my friends got lost. Spent I think 30-40 mins looking for the hostel what was supposedly a good 5-10 min walk from JR Ueno and Keisei Ueno stations. We were very thankful though for the kind locals who helped us look for the place. They even searched through their own mobile phones when we were showing the address. The capsules and bed are great and clean. Aside from the towels they also provide you with a set of pajamas. They also have a somewhat like a foot spa with stones or beads which gets warm after turning it on (I'm not sure how it is called) but it helped us relax our feet tired from the all-day walking. Our bed was on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator to 2nd floor but the staff helped us bring our luggage. What I particularly did not like in this place was their toilet and shower rooms. It was not as clean as expected. Since this place was my last accommodation for my 10-day Japan trip and all the previous hostels I stayed at were really very clean, I got really disappointed. The floor is dirty and tissue holders are dirty too. Their toilet just didn't meet my expectations and is quite far from what I have observed of Japanese standards for cleanliness. Still, the location of the hostel was very convenient for me since it is a only a short walk to Keisei Ueno Station where I took the Skyliner train the next day to Narita Airport. Perhaps, a good place to stay at for a night only.
