Too dirty

Ble tatt kjempegodt imot, svært imøtekommende og serviceinnstilte ansatte. Rommet var fint og rent. Upåklagelig service. Det som trekker ned er en del støy fra oppussing. Mye bråk fra tidlig morgen, noe som er kjedelig når man skal slappe av på hotell. Men bortsett fra det, ingenting å klage på. Maten i restauranten var god, vi benyttet oss av frokosten en dag, den var helt ok. Sentral beliggenhet. Hadde vært fint å få beskjed ved innsjekk at personale kommer tidlig morgen og kveld for å skru av/på lyset på balkongen.

The hotel is a walkable distance to the spice market and the old town. The staff was incredible, the room was spacious and the pool area was great for breakfast or to just relax. Special thanks to Laureen and Fahad

There was literally no water in the unit

I booked through Expedia and Expedia showed that the hotel had a hot tub. I wanted to stay in a hotel with a hot tub in order to relax for my last two days in Nairobi. However, when I arrived at the hotel, they told me that there was no hot tub. They said they could give me a room with a hot tub if I paid additional money, but that is not the same thing as booking a hotel that has a hot tub available for all guests to use in a common area. I contacted Expedia for a refund, but they refused stating that the hotel could’ve offered me a hot tub in my room for an additional expense. I should not have to pay additional for a hot tub after booking my room because there was already an understanding that the hot tub was included in the price, just like using the pool was already an included amenity. Hotels that offer hot tubs and pools have them in common areas for use by guests, and if an additional fee is necessary, that should be stated. I was very disappointed because I specifically chose this hotel to use the hot tub, and it was not available. In addition, the Internet did not work in the hotel during my stay. I still would like a refund because I did not get the services that I paid for when I booked the room.

Nice staff n restaurant

The room was nice. The water stayed hot for two people to take showers. But the noise from the music they play at night was ridiculous! The place is made of tile so the sound just reverberates off all the surfaces. It was so loud and nonstop until almost midnight. I think they have a live band at night. Would not recommend this place

It was renovating and the work from 10am to 5pm disturbed, especially when it rained on one of those rare days in July/Aug. The hotel addressed this very well, upgrading our room and putting us on half board. Will stay again.

The hotel construction was going from 6:30 am to 8pm.The remodeling was very loud banging and the elevator didn't work.We had to walk up/down four flights of stairs.The staff was helpful and courteous.

A lovely clean hotel but without doubt the best experience was the quality of service by the staff where nothing was too much trouble. If you want quality service with friendly helpful staff then look no further that the Hotel Sapphire. I will definitely use this hotel when I return later in the year.

I had a good, short stay. The staff were all very nice and welcoming. My room was pretty standard but it was clean and comfortable. My room card and the packet it was in was a little old and dirty but I assume it’s because they reuse them. I had some trouble getting a good WiFi signal, but luckily didn’t need it too much having stayed on a weekday. The safe in my room also didn’t work, but I didn’t mention it because as I didn’t really need it having only stayed one night. I was staying one floor above the restaurant so it did get a little loud at night but I didn’t mind because it was quiet before I went to sleep. The breakfast buffet was very good, offering a lot of options including traditional Kenyans and Swahili food. Overall, a solid stay.

Kindness of the hotel staff, and the staff went out of their way to make sure that their gas will satisfied very courteous.

Water was too hot for shower. Could not adjust temperature.

Upgraded me to a suite, free of charge. Great experience, beautiful nice people. I will be back!

Good enough to be right in the heart of mombasa. Walkable to mombasa mall. Great patio entertainment every night. Just the main reception charges extras for guests. My other hotel didn’t do it so it must be a company decision to do that. $2000 ksh per night. That’s a lot compared to booking for 2 travellers when booking.

Absolutely excellent service. We had a wonderful Swahili breakfast with a lovely server that explained every dish to us. It was very special and we would definitely stay at this hotel again. Very reasonable price for what we got as well.

Great place to sray in Mombasa. All of the staff were wonderful and very helpful.
