Hotel Sapphire

Sehr schönes Frühstücksbuffet inklusive Koch für Spiegelei, Rührei etc. Wir hatten eine Executive-Suite, sehr groß mit kleiner Kocheinheit, Wohnzimmer mit schöner Sitzgruppe und großes Schlafzinmer mit nochmals einer kleinen Sitzecke, Badezimmer ist allerdings eher klein, sehr schön, Top Aircondition.

Super søde personale, flinke og høflige, meget rene værelser, central belegenhed, men et stort problem var at jeg var i Ramadan da, og moske ved siden af, sang meget højt Quran frax18 til 22 og aller væreste fra morgen kl. 4 man kunne høre meget belastende Azan, jeg var 2 nætter der og kunne slet ikke sove. Så jeg ved ikke, om det er altid sådan fordi det var lige ved siden af moske eller det var sådan pga. Ramadan. Men jeg blev sindyg , kunne ikke holde ud.

The photos don’t do the rooms justice. Very comfortable and spacious. The staff are all very attentive and hospitable! Food at the restaurant was also lovely. AC is good and strong in the rooms to cool you down after a day in the Mombasa heat. Well above and beyond expectations for the price.

Everything was perfect, the bed was super comfortable, big shower with hot water, every day different activity at the bar and the most important -all the staff is super nice, attentive and friendly, especially Emily from the customer care. Will be glad to come back again in the future.

Cooperative staff, comfortable room. A good bar and restaurant.

I had an excellent stay at The Sapphire. The service and hospitality were outstanding. My room was comfortable and the food was very good. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Sam at the front door and Brenda at the front desk were especially helpful in addressing my queries. Overall, I highly recommend The Sapphire to anyone looking for a quality stay and genuine hospitality.

Hotel Sapphire surprised me at how big it was with good restaurants and excellent service. It was very convenient to the commuter rail station. I had a comfortable stay with a clean, air-conditioned room. I wish the government in Mombasa would do more to clean up the area around the hotel because the location could be a great place for all kinds of travelers and locals alike.

Ble tatt kjempegodt imot, svært imøtekommende og serviceinnstilte ansatte. Rommet var fint og rent. Upåklagelig service. Det som trekker ned er en del støy fra oppussing. Mye bråk fra tidlig morgen, noe som er kjedelig når man skal slappe av på hotell. Men bortsett fra det, ingenting å klage på. Maten i restauranten var god, vi benyttet oss av frokosten en dag, den var helt ok. Sentral beliggenhet. Hadde vært fint å få beskjed ved innsjekk at personale kommer tidlig morgen og kveld for å skru av/på lyset på balkongen.

The hotel is a walkable distance to the spice market and the old town. The staff was incredible, the room was spacious and the pool area was great for breakfast or to just relax. Special thanks to Laureen and Fahad

There was literally no water in the unit

I booked through Expedia and Expedia showed that the hotel had a hot tub. I wanted to stay in a hotel with a hot tub in order to relax for my last two days in Nairobi. However, when I arrived at the hotel, they told me that there was no hot tub. They said they could give me a room with a hot tub if I paid additional money, but that is not the same thing as booking a hotel that has a hot tub available for all guests to use in a common area. I contacted Expedia for a refund, but they refused stating that the hotel could’ve offered me a hot tub in my room for an additional expense. I should not have to pay additional for a hot tub after booking my room because there was already an understanding that the hot tub was included in the price, just like using the pool was already an included amenity. Hotels that offer hot tubs and pools have them in common areas for use by guests, and if an additional fee is necessary, that should be stated. I was very disappointed because I specifically chose this hotel to use the hot tub, and it was not available. In addition, the Internet did not work in the hotel during my stay. I still would like a refund because I did not get the services that I paid for when I booked the room.
