For us, the hotel is one of the most important aspects of a holiday - and a massive part of that is the staff. They are integral to every aspect, and every member of staff we interacted with over 6 days were exemplary. From pre-holiday interactions with Sandro the concierge, check-in, housekeeping, beech/pool staff for towels, food and drinks and most of all, everyone in the exec lounge. Everyone was polite, engaging, friendly - and genuinely made us feel welcome and valued. You normally get a couple of outstanding people you remember, but in this instance - it was simply everyone.
In fact, it was this that made us return for our 2nd visit, and rebook a 3rd.
The hotel is outstanding. Rooms great, pools awesome, SPA lovely. Loads of facilities. Even when the hotel was at capacity by hosting a conference, the staff were attentive, on-hand and above and beyond.
Malta itself is just wonderful. St. Julians is ideally located with easy access to great restaurants and bars, whilst the Hilton retains a "resort" feel, meaning you wouldn't need to leave the hotel if you didn't want to!
A sincere thank you to everyone, again - and see you in May 2027!

Had a great stay! If you’re looking for a nice resort from which you can easily access all parts of the island, this is a great option. The amenities are great, the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was excellent.

Bear in mind that outside of peak (hot) season, the hotel does not allow you to control the aircon in your room! The thermostat in my room did not work during my Spring 2026 stay. Reception confirmed that the temperature is centrally controlled outside of Summer and guests cannot adjust their room aircon manually. Something I have never seen in a 5* hotel and piss poor. Hotel and reception staff / concierge all excellent

Die gebuchte Halbpension war völlig sinnlos. Das zwar reichlich Frühstück hat den Charm einer Bahnhofshalle im Vollbetrieb. Wer einen gehobenen Standard erwartet wird endtäuscht. Kaffee zur Selbstabholung am Automaten, welche entweder nur teilweise funktionieren oder weder Tassen noch Unterteller vorrätig haben. Häufig bleibt Automatenkaffee im Pappbecher.
Das Schlimmste jedoch das Abendessen. Der Service ist völlig überfordert. so dauert es bis man etwas zum Trinken bekommt gerne über eine Stunde. Bis 2 Gänge serviert waren vergingen am Rekordabend zweieinhalb Stunden. Nach drei Versuchen im Restaurant und trotz mehrmaligem Feedback, gelang es Ihnen auch dann noch nicht unseren Tisch mit 6 Personen zu versorgen. Am dritten Abend kamen nach 30 Minuten 4 von 6 Vorspeisen ohne auch nur die Getränke bekommen zu haben. Die Reaktion des Restaurantmanagers war nur laute Gebrüll mit seinem Personal. Ein Kindermenu ist ein trockenes Burger Brötchen mit einem trockenen Gefrierpattie ohne jede Sauße oder auch nur ein Blatt Salat. Auf Ketschup um es überhaupt essen zu können wartet man wieder bis alles kalt ist.
Ich hatte das Hotelmanagement angeschrieben, jedoch nicht einmal eine Antwort bekommen.
Zum Glück gibt es in der nahen Umgebung reichlich wirklich großartige Restaurants.
Alles in allen ist Malta trotzdem ein schöner Urlaub. Das Hilton Hotel ist, wenn auch schon deutlich abgenutzt, akzeptabel. Aber man sollte keinesfalls etwas gehobenes erwarten.

I normally go to Malta three times a year during various seasons and when I return it feels like going home.
I’ve stayed at various Malta hotels over the years but once I’d stayed at the Hilton I didn’t have to choose anymore.
In every area a first class service is given
Throughout the hotel everywhere is clean,staff always happy and smiling plus excellent food in Oceana the main restaurant .
I’m back home today after my second stay in 2026 and already planning for my next visit!

We stayed as a family of four and had a fantastic stay overall. The rooms are spacious, spotless and well equipped, and the drinkable water tap in the bathroom is a standout feature. All staff were consistently warm and attentive — everyone greets you as you pass, which creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel’s common areas are beautifully maintained, and both the indoor and outdoor pools are lovely. The fitness suite is excellent too. We did experience some noise from the fitness area in our particularroom, but management responded immediately and offered an alternative room. We appreciated how quickly they acted, even though we chose to stay put.
The only area that could be improved is the buffet breakfast for guests with dietary needs. My wife is coeliac, and while staff were always helpful, there’s no clear allergy signage. This meant we had to ask for for food to be prepared separately each morning, but basic simple labelling and simple.cross‑contamination measures would have make the experience much easier.
Overall, this was an excellent stay and absolutely deserving of five stars. We’d happily return and recommend Hilton Malta to other families.

Bubbelbad op ons terras was heerlijk warm. Onwijs vriendelijk personeel. 2 keer per dag werd je kamer schoongemaakt met nieuwe handdoeken.

Lovely staff, very helpful. We had the room with a jacuzzi which was amazing and had lovely views of the marina.
Food in the cafe I would say was fairly average. Cannot comment on the main restaurant as we did not dine there.
Overall, delighted with the trip - would stay here again.

This place was so amazing from the check in to check out process. The property is so beautiful but most importantly the staff was so amazing and very helpful! I will be definitely staying back at this hotel when i come back to Malta

Hotel was very clean. Only slight negative was lack of options for evening meals, only the one restaurant available with limited menu, especially for those with dietary issues (vegan). That said some of the restaurant staff were more than excellent with there helpful service and providing specially cooked food for us. Special mention to Hostess Oceania Patryeja, Chef Max, Iva, and April who all went above and beyond, thank you so much
