Room was ok.. A little dated. TV wasn’t working. I called and they sent someone and it took 4 trips for them to fix it, one of which they tried to come in at almost 2am while we were sleeping already. Who does that? It was a party of 3 and I requested 2 beds, they gave me a king sized bed only. Had to call and they brought a roll away bed. The bad part was that they didn’t even bother to tell me at check in. The room constantly smelled like sewage. The food was mediocre at best. The resort credit that Expedia offers is misleading. It can only be used for the spa and certain tours but not all tours. It’s not for typical room charges. I won’t be staying here again.

Clean resort, friendly staff, lots of activities for families, lots of food options, loved the Christmas village with the train ride, dessert and drink set up. What I would change though is the over priced day pass to the Grand.

I like this resort, all would give it 5 stars, but not the sales staff at check-out. Overall, the experience was very good. From front desk service, restaurants to room services. However, one experience significantly affected our impression. We joined Tour, where the sales team introduced the resort membership. I understand this is part of their job, and although it took up half a day, we were respectful and understanding. At the end of the tour, we bought one $299 discounted future-stay voucher. The staff repeatedly tried to persuade us to buy two, suggesting we give one to family or friends. We politely declined, saying we wanted to try it first. What made us uncomfortable was that we were repeatedly asked, “Don’t you have family and friends?” This question felt inappropriate and created unnecessary pressure. Unfortunately, the same situation happened again at checkout. After confirming our room number and asking about our stay, another salesperson again pushed another $299 membership for family, and repeated the same question: “you don’t have family and friends?”This left me very uncomfortable, what’s the answer for this question? especially at checkout, which should be a positive final moment of the stay. I understand sales goals and respect the effort of the staff, but this approach—especially using personal questions to pressure guests—was unpleasant. The aggressive sales behavior at checkout significantly lowered our overall impression of an otherwise excellent hotel.

Overall this place is simply fantastic. The vibe, atmosphere, quality/condition of everything, restaurants, staff, etc., are all amazing. It's clean, fresh, and highly enjoyable. The pool area is wonderful, very big with multiple bars, and easy to get chairs w/ umbrellas without any hassle. The beach was nice too but nothing spectacular. The main issue is the relentless effort to sell you a palace membership. It is worse than any timeshare presentation/sales effort that I've ever had to endure. They lied and said it wouldn't be a sales pitch, then said 90 minutes (it was over 2.5 hours long), and even after three different people tried browbeating us into purchasing and we still refused, even leaving we had to deal with 2 other hard sells by people, one of which literally followed us out the door trying to get us to buy something. Even on checkout day, waiting for our ride, yet another guy tried hard to get us to buy something. It ruined one entire afternoon of our stay and left a bad taste. I advise you to avoid it at all costs, I will never sit through it again. It is simply relentless and brutal. Only other complaint is the mix drinks at the pool/beach -- they put little to no alcohol in them. I could drink 7 margaritas and not feel anything. Stick with beer or watch them make your drink so you can ensure they are actually putting real booze in it.

Some of the nicest staff I’ve met traveling anywhere. GREAT for kids! Make reservations early or you’ll get stuck with buffet. A lot of trying to upsell people.hotel is big and can be overwhelming so jus do your planing.

Had a oceanfront room and the view was absolutely gorgeous. The food was great, the property was absolutely amazing, and staff was friendly. The only observation I have was we didn’t receive enough towels daily even after several requests.

The inside of the hotel was perfect, but we don’t liked the sea… it was so badly looking like duty inside and very dark water

Hot tub didn’t work out for us. They need more fresh hot breakfast options

The room was not as expected, we changed like 4 times due to the shower door was not closing and all the water coming out, second time there was a big lizard in the room, the beach view was not even worth to pay extra since it was still the garden or building view and far away there was a beach you can see.

Room is small in terms of beds (not at all queen size but they say so). Amenities good. Booking for restaurants is a hassle. Fighting for resort credits and their usage is very tricky and needs negotiation skills to grab a deal.

Great place to vacation. Clean environment, great amenities, the best food I have ever had - the Nizuc Buffet blew my mind - consistently excellent. Kids enjoyed themselves at the pool and gaming arcade.

Resort is so big, shuttle carts were not so convenient. Only one Italian restaurant food was good. Most restaurants food not meet standards. Specially the MOMO Teppanyaki, hardest to make reservation, the food was cold and all small portions - a half bowl fired rice with 6 pieces beef cubes. The marking signed us for a new facility presentation for 1.5 hour, but it took about 2.5 hours, spending half day to push to buy their membership.

The staff, hospitality, clean room, the food and all services were available when needed! Amazing place and the people were great!

Room was in mint condition. The room staff were very good. However the bartenders need a lesson in customer service. The way they acted made me feel like that I was doing something. My gut feeling is they are overworked. They need a lesson in customer service.
