Samlet set et rigtigt dejligt ophold. Og stort cadeau til personalet for at reagere på min anmedelse af hvordan indtjekningen var gået. Jeg nævnte nogle ting jeg godt kunne have ønsket, såsom en elkedel og dobbelt topmadras. Og kort efter ringede receptionen og fik mine ønsker opfyldt. :) Fint værelse med en stor seng, og en lille altan. Aircondition var en smule støjende. Morgenmads buffeten var god og varieret. Vi prøvede deres bar, hvor vi spiste en enkelt gang og fik Royal Burger og Philly steak sandwich, som desværre var under niveau for et 4 stjernet hotel. Men til gengæld laver de rigtig gode cocktails. Pool, spa og de andre faciliteter var også fine. Men vi stiller os lidt undrede over badehætte påbuddet, da de fleste gæster åbenbart var ligeglade. Vi havde nogle fra et andet Spa hotel vi brugte. Personalet virkede lidt mutte. De måtte gerne smile noget mere :)

This is a great conference hotel that is conveniently close to the airport. Your choices for activities and fast food outside the hotel are very limited, and the area around the hotel is extremely quiet after sunset. The breakfast buffet is great. The indoor pool requires a shower cap to use. The hotel staff was very welcoming and allowed me to check in very early in the morning for the following night because I arrived on an early flight and they had available space.

Came on our honeymoon and did not have the experience you would expect from a 4-star hotel with the ratings we read. After moving rooms 3 times due to cleanliness issues (ripped towels, chlorine smells, dirt/debris) we were finally moved into a suite (which was nice, but of course after hours of back and fourth we were anxious and unhappy already). The staff were okay, except for one lady who upgraded us and made a great attempt to make things right. She gave us a bottle of champagne and some snacks to celebrate along with the upgraded room. Although these upgrades and additions were nice, the stress and anxiety caused on our honeymoon right when we landed caused by this hotel really put a damper on the beginning of our trip. Breakfast buffet was the best on the island as far as hotels we stayed at. 5-stars to that! The amenities (pool, hot tub etc.) were by the THE WORST. The pool smelled and we never went in once. Really dirty. Overall would not come back and would not recommend staying here.

Belle chambre. Propre. Personnel de chambre sympathique. Gars du soir à la réception pas super gentil et pas patient. Mais dans l’ensemble j’ai aimé mon séjour.

Good swimming pool

We had a nice big room, but air conditioning was not working properly or at all. because we were on the first floor we were not able to open windows. We called the front desk 2 times. We had options to move but it was too late in the evening and we were tired, and ended up staying in the room.

Spa was nice, but not hot enough.

Very nice hotel even a bit dated outside but it’s beautiful interior! Friendly staffs and informative , me and my wife are really happy to stay in Azoris Royal Garden Hotel.

I had a 15-hour layover in Ponta Delgado, and decided to book this hotel to rest before taking off the same day. I had booked for one day from my arrival at 6 a.m. until the next day. But my check-out had to be at 7 p.m. on the same day I would check in. Basically, I would use the room for a few hours. Upon my arrival, the young guy at the reception was not accommodating at all. He said that the check-in was at 2 p.m., meaning I had to wait almost 6 hours to check in to then check out at 7 p.m. I was disappointed since it seemed to me that he didn't care at all. Then I asked if I could have breakfast that was included. He said that it was their protocol that the guest must sleep over night in order to have the breakfast included. I didn't really understand his reason, since I was leaving the same day anyway without being able to have breakfast the next day. I decided to wait until he was gone. It was a good decision. When the crew changed, there was an incredible lady who helped me to have breakfast, and she managed to check me in much earlier. This is service that you would expect from the hospitality industry. She was great and went beyond what she might have needed to. A big thanks to her. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Nice room and facilities, and great breakfast. The dinner buffet was ok, but only because the options were not necessarily my taste. I could see that other guests were enjoying their meals. I would definitely consider going back to this place.

Stayed 3 nights. Facilities were clean and located conveniently. Breakfast was very good and much appreciated.

We liked everything about it! The outdoor pool was fantastic- so peaceful. Staff was great, especially Erica, who went above and beyond to try and connect me with a tour guide for a special request. Joao was great to talk to while we were waiting for our taxi. We will be back!

After travelling all over Europe this is one of properties I unfortunately have to leave a negative review. Let’s start with the positives - it’s in a good quiet location in Ponta Delgada close to the airport. It had ample free parking in the garage. The pool area is nice and the breakfast is sufficient. Unfortunately that’s where it ends. The staff were pleasant (there were a few that we not) but they failed to resolve an ongoing issue that I reported several (5 ) times during our stay. The showers and water in the room would not stay a consistent temperature. It continuously fluctuated between freezing cold and scalding hot. Every time we reported the issue and then checked back they said it was fixed, but every time it was not. This went on for 4 days. In addition the hotel itself is in need of major updating. Some areas (the breakfast area and pool) were nice, but other areas were very old and run down. Overall I would not recommend this hotel - there are others in the same vicinity that would probably provide a more comfortable stay.

+ Zentrale Lage, aber ruhig (zumindest für die Zimmer mit „Zen View“ + Gutes Frühstück inkl., aber besser früh zu kommen, da das Restaurant schnell voll und laut wird. + Parkhaus vorhanden(9 Eur/Nacht) + Leicht mit dem Auto oder zu Fuss erreichbar - Einige Bereiche müssten renoviert werden - Das Personal wirkt nicht besonders motiviert - Sauberkeit des Zimmers (Haar auf dem Nachttisch am ersten Abend)

Perfect location, Close to the airport and walkable to the Ocean strip with lots of dining options close by. Very comfy bed, nice pool area and the breakfast had lots of choices and was very good.
