Great hotel staff and very accommodating. I made an error with the dates and the staff was very helpful in getting it resolved although I had to upgrade my room which was awesome as we got the best lake view from our room. Dinner was outstanding - would advise to book in advance as there are not too many places close by.

Would not recommend! Hotel is very run down and staff was very off putting. I booked with breakfast included, but you are required to reserve breakfast time at check in, not flexible. Worse yet, checking in at 5pm, there was only a super early or super late option available. Staff at breakfast also not very concerning. Tables were all ridiculously sticky... all of them. Cobwebs in all the rafters above the tables and in corners of the bedroom. The room had peeling paint on ceiling, and stuffy as too many bugs to open the window. Only a convenience store within walking distance.

Aside from the cool reception, we very much enjoyed our stay. The view from our room was beautiful, very clean, and quiet. The bed was so comfortable, I didn’t want to leave! The breakfast ranked #1 on our 3 week trip to Scotland!

This hotel is far from recommended. Rooms were not very nice, really bad beds and no ventilation. We had a room on the first floor with angled windows, so could not even have open windows while sleeping. And very poor sound proofing between rooms. Unfriendly staff in restaurant, dirty tables and glasses and expensive food.

While this hotel is quite beautiful and has a wonderful location alongside a lake, our experience was not great. The front desk staff were very unhelpful, bordering on rude. We arrived shortly after check-in and were told that we couldn’t have breakfast until 8 AM despite opening at seven because the previous slots had been booked. When we went down the next day at 7:45 the dining room was almost completely empty. The room was not cleaned well, the floor clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, and the shower drain backed up almost immediately once the water was on. The buffet breakfast was a complete disappointment, none of the food was really that good despite having multiple options. So if quantity is your jam, then this will be great because there are lots of options. This was by far the most expensive hotel we booked our entire Scotland trip, and the value is just not there for what it costs.

No elevator. Old carpet stairs and halls squeak and creek. Very warm rooms. Windows open but no screen so could not leave open for bugs. Pool facilities was nice. Loved the adult only hours!

Il punto forte della struttura è la posizione fronte lago, tuttavia sono molti gli aspetti che andrebbero curati. Gli spazi in comune dovrebbero essere rinnovati, dalla receptione un po' ovunque si percepisce odore di cloro che proviene dalla piscina subito adiacente alla reception.A proposito della piscina cosiddetta riscaldata è in realtà a temperatura ambiente il che, soprattutto per italiani abituati alle terme, non la rende apprezzabile. Anche questo ambiente andrebbe curato meglio esteriormente. La camera era spaziosa e abbastanza pulita, il letto comodo. Il personale poco empatico, e per niente accogliente. Pur sapendo che eravamo italiani si rivolgevano a noi parlando rapidamente e in un inglese poco comprensibile. Al ristorante poltroncine macchiate, struttura che necessita di una rinfrescata, sensazione di sporco nonostante il viavai di camerieri che spruzzavano vetril ovunque. Il personale poco attento e non accuratamente vestito. Un generale senso di trascuratezza. La vista sul lago non è sufficiente per rendere un soggiorno piacevole.

We had a beautiful view from our room. The rooms were all showing some wear. Carpet in the bar area was all stretched out and a tripping hazard. Carpet in our room was worn with some stains. We ate breakfast at their breakfast buffet. Lots of selection. If you like, you can rent a a kayak or bike at the adjacent business. A small convenience store is located close by in walking distance.
