Citrus Hikkaduwa

Pros: Great location with an amazing beachfront experience, a pretty good breakfast, and the staff let us hang out in the hotel area a few hours before our check-in. Cons: A bit old rooms, very cold inside with no possibility of making it warmer. We are from Ukraine, and the staff was trying to talk in Russian to us, literally the whole stay. We repeated several times that we don't speak Russian and we don't understand them, but they didn't care.

I felt it was important to share my feedback as my experience fell significantly short of expectations. The rooms were subpar. The food was especially disappointing, with very little variety and flavor. Overall, it was a lacklustre experience, and honestly, I was hoping for so much more. If you want to ensure customers return, there's a lot of room for improvement in both service and quality.

A very nice little hotel, great music, cocktails. Little pool. Staff was so friendly. It was clean. Extra bed was no problem and does not cost much.

Dear Owner of Citrus Hotels. I am a mother and my two children. We had a terrible situation Citrus Hikkaduwa. On the night of 30th April, 200 dollars were stolen from our bag in the room. They entered at night when we were sleeping in the room through our open balcony. 01.05 - we spent time in the hotel. Around 15:00 we discovered the theft. When we went to the reception about this outrageous incident, the manager openly laughed at us and mocked us, saying that we will not prove anything, and that it is our fault because we did not keep the money in the safe. NO, I repeat, it happened at night when we were in the room and sleeping. And this is already a deliberate entry. We went to the police, explained to them what happened, and they understood that they tried to compensate us at least with a gift to close the 22,000 rupees in the hotel account. But the manager tried to twist everything in Sinhala and make us look like fools. He even threatened my son that either we pay or we will be in trouble! We are upset and disappointed and are sure that this manager will arrange this scam of stealing from the room that night. He was not interested in investigating this incident. Now we are afraid and warning guests that at the Citrus Hotel the manager arranges thefts from the rooms and sleeps there dangerously at night. Please take steps to investigate this outrageous situation. I truly believe that your guests deserve to be protected during their holiday.

All great. Only thing is, no easy access to ocean because of rocky bottom. 5 min the left and right is sandy beachbottom and to the right close are some beach pools.

Although the property could do with an update it was the staff that made this stay so good. Front of house plus restaurant staff exceptional! And then the food especially the seafood BBQ at lunch! Beautiful!

It's an old hotel. 50 yrs. So it's tired and needs a refurbish. Rooms are OK, but bathroom leaks water from the shower leaving puddles of water in the bathroom. Could smell urine in room 205 when using the shower so probably linked to the drainage system. Pool needs redone as several broken tiles and there were 3 people I saw who cut themselves including a member of staff and my daughter. Restaurant and bar is very good, great choice and food options are lovely. Staff are excellent and very friendly. Opposite a supermarket which is handy. So overall a really nice hotel, pretty basic but has great potential with a bit of investment.

The staff are fantastic.

I call this side the city view side of the hotel the forgotton section of the hotel. Prior to this I was in the ocean view room, for 10 days, all connected to the hotel with easy access to any part of the hotel.And I paid less for the room with breakfast included.For the city view rooms I paid more and extra for breakfast. To get to the main building I had to come out of the side of the hotel and walk pass the little shop and enter through the reception anytime of day or night. I also felt that the rooms on this side of the hotel were given less attention. I had to inquire about the cleaning people that were very visible on the other side and did not see on this side. On request my room was cleaned and with a call to the house keeping the beverage supplies were brought to the room. Given the choice I will not stay in Citrus if I had to settle for the city view rooms. All the staff were very friendly and caring.

Just basic, bare bones accommodation. One of the members of our group said it was more like a lodge than a hotel. There were rust spots around the room and fixtures, even in the kettle. The room was clean but the quality of everything belongs in a much cheaper property. the mattresses, sheets, bathrooms, shower, were all below average. The AC didn't work properly. All round, quite a disappointment. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful, esp at reception, but that wasn't true of the staff in the restaurant and elsewhere. We even got charged for something we hadn't ordered!

スタッフは非常にフレンドリーで、また親切に対応して頂けて非常に良かったです。 また、Hotelの到着が10:30ぐらいだったのですが、無料でearly checkinをして頂き、部屋に入れた為、初日から十分に楽しめました。 部屋はそこまで広くはないですが、清潔です。 私の部屋は２つ問題点がありました。 １つはシャワーの水圧は問題ないのですが、温度が安定しませんでした。 冷たくなったり、熱くなったりと変化し、冷たい〜適温のタイミングにうまくシャワーを浴びる事が必要でした。 もう一つは、部屋の位置的に２階だった為、プールの目の前の部屋で、プールサイドを歩いている人たちの目線とと部屋の窓の高さが一緒で、カーテンを少しでも空けていると、プールサイドを歩いている人達と目が合い、気まずかったです。(カーテンは一時も開けられませんでした。その為、3階以上の部屋が理想です。) 私たちは食事無しプランにしていましたが、レストランは一つしかなく、朝食、昼食、夕食ともBuffeになっていた為、食事付きにした場合は、3食とも唯一のレストランでBuffeになっていたかもしれません。 ただ、近隣のレストランの多くは、土地柄、アルコールの提供ができない為、お酒を飲みながら食事したかった私たちは、結局、こちらのレストランで毎回食べていました。(注文はBuffeではなく、アラカルトで注文もできました) Hotelの立地的地には、目の前にスーパーもあり、海沿いの通りを歩けば、お店が立ち並んでいる為、非常に便利で楽しかったです。

Clean room, great food. Very pleasant stay

Отель расположен на берегу океана. Мы жили на 4м этаже. Вид из окна и с балкона замечательный. При этом входная дверь выходит прямо на дорогу. Шум от дороги сильный даже ночью. В номере есть минибар, кондиционер, телевизор, шкаф, сейф, чайник с принадлежностями для чая и кофе. При этом все очень неудобно. Телевизор очень низко над полкой для чемоданов. Когда открываешь чемодан, рискуешь уронить со стены телевизор. Есть кресла с журнальным столиком, но столик в 2 раза ниже кресел. Чтобы помыть руки, необходимо зайти в ванную комнату и закрыть дверь, т. к. дверь загораживает раковину. Из туалетных принадлежностей только шампунь, мыло и шапочки для душа, туалетная бумага. Вай фай в номере работал нормально. У нас был полупансион. Питание приемлемое, но в эконом варианте. Купаться возле отеля нельзя, надо пройти по берегу или дорогой до Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon. В целом отель приемлемый, но цена сильно завышена. Мы брали номер по скидке. Если позволяют средства лучше взять Hikka Tranz или другой на берегу, либо найти более дешевый вариант через дорогу.

空港の、迎えを依頼するも応答がなく、来てるのか来てないのか、わからないまま買 空港到着。結局来てなくて、その場でタクシー交渉して行きました。 施設は一階施設でしたが常時セキュリティが配置されていたので盗難などへの注意は幾分緩和された印象。 設備は普通。高級ホテルというほどでもないかと。 サービス面では、早朝出発のために朝食を取れないので、朝出発前にテイクアウト用に用意してほしい旨リクエストし、了解されたのに当日になると今日は朝食がないことになっているとフロントスタッフが応え、結局出されないまま。その後もその件については何もなかったかのように… それから、エクスペディア予約者向けのディスカウントサービスについてもスタッフの認識がなく、メール提示した上でサービスの提供受けるも正規料金を請求されます。

ホテルの真正面にスーパーマーケットと酒屋があり非常に便利でした。 端の方の部屋だったせいか、部屋のWifiが非常に弱く殆ど使えませんでした。仕方ないのでインターネット関連はロビーでやりました。 サービス面はいたって普通のホテルです。

Номера большие , но очень шумные ( берите беруши ) так как окна выходят на океан , а двери прямо на проезжую часть. Напротив отеля единственный супер маркет в городе, удобно. Отель нормальный , брали питание все включено . Не пожалели. Выбор хороший . Лежаков всегда хватало. В отеле очень любят чаевые, прям очень. В целом все неплохо . Рекомендую не больше недели.
