Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bus shuttle drivers are extremely helpful with customer needs in mind. Best location in the park! Dinner buffet is great, breakfast is so, so. Facilities are aging but ok, given the circumstances. Some cleaning details are needed, but not too bad. Overall, a pleasant staying experience that exceeds my expectations.

Had an excellent stay in November 2026 where I was able to see the famous Alishan "Cloud Sea". Meals at the hotel were excellent, and staying overnight in the Alishan Recreation Forest gave me lots of opportunities to explore the different trails and enjoy the cool mountain air. The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable; special shoutout to one of the restaurant staff who was very helpful and provided useful advice about the hiking trails in the area, and allowed me to more easily find the trail for the Shuishan Giant Tree, an amazing sight. This was an unforgettable first time in Alishan, and if I visit again, will 100% stay at the Alishan Hotel. The location is good, the staff service team is mainly very good, e g. In Restaurant. The Food quality and the variaty / offer of different Food is not good enough. Especially very poor for non Asia guest like me. Room size ok, but technically many issues or not well organized, e.g. not enough space for clothes, hanger, bathroom hanget, light Switches, Power plugin for electricity devices

Should spend money to renovate the room. Building definitely needs fresh paint. Everything just looks very old. But the dinner and breakfast was excellent. Staffs are very polite, pleasent, friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff were very friendly and hospitable; special shoutout to one of the restaurant staff who was very helpful and provided useful advice about the hiking trails in the area, and allowed me to more easily find the trail for the Shuishan Giant Tree, an amazing sight. This was an unforgettable first time in Alishan, and if I visit again, will 100% stay at the Alishan Hotel. Great location has been the ultimate understatement. Courteous staffs made stay more relaxed and enjoyable as well. Inclusive buffet dinner and breakfast also demonstrated efforts to please local and international guests alike, however, minute details need some attention: fish dishes were over heated, alcoholic beverages were not so readily available. Mattresses were a little aged. Lastly, heater control recommendations could have been posted to remind guests who might not be familiar with its setting. All in all, visit to this world famous site with classy hospitality facilities is what visitors are willing to shoulder some extra cost.

We had a great family stay at the Alishan Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The highlight was the location which is close to the start of most of the trails and sights. This was very convenient for the member of our party that needed breaks and rest in between hikes. Additionally the shuttle service was very helpful especially for getting to the train station early for the sunrise train. We had a beautiful view of the mountain and sunset from our room. A hidden gem of the location is the 1950s coffee shop located in the historical building. We enjoyed the cakes, snacks and hot beverages while waiting for our check in time.

Pro- Hotel had best location on alishan. Great dinner and breakfast food options. Convenient and frequent free shuttle bus service. Cons- expensive hotel but did not provide bathroom slippers which i thought was a basic amenity.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Bus shuttle drivers are extremely helpful with customer needs in mind. Best location in the park! Dinner buffet is great, breakfast is so, so. Facilities are aging but ok, given the circumstances. Some cleaning details are needed, but not too bad. Overall, a pleasant staying experience that exceeds my expectations.

The location is good, the staff service team is mainly very good, e g. In Restaurant. The Food quality and the variaty / offer of different Food is not good enough. Especially very poor for non Asia guest like me. Room size ok, but technically many issues or not well organized, e.g. not enough space for clothes, hanger, bathroom hanget, light Switches, Power plugin for electricity devices

Had an excellent stay in November 2026 where I was able to see the famous Alishan "Cloud Sea". Meals at the hotel were excellent, and staying overnight in the Alishan Recreation Forest gave me lots of opportunities to explore the different trails and enjoy the cool mountain air.
