โรงแรม Alishan

I took the family (wife and three teenage children) and we stayed for 2 nights in single room with 2 king size beds. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and both the buffet breakfast and dinner were nice. The shuttle bus to the train station in the morning made it easier to travel to see the sunrise, and with the hotel located in the centre of the park, it was close to all the main walks. The hotel appeared a bit outdated, even though we were in the modern building. One disadvtange was the bath room was open style and it would have been nice to put a door or blinds. Apart from that, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Alishan. As an aside, the hotel organise a private taxi to pick us up from Chiayi to Alishan Hotel, and then from the Alishan hotel to our next destination in Tainan. The driver was excellent and very knowledgeable of the Alishan area, with many good recommendations.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. Very nice and comfortable room (though the caulking in parts of the bathroom could be redone—slightly moldy). Excellent location in the heart of the forest recreation area. I would recommend, and would stay here again.
