We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Banyan Tree Samui! Everything from the stunning location to the first-class service was simply perfect. A special thank you to Tak for the personal attention and support we received throughout our stay – we truly felt well taken care of. The resort is ideal for relaxation, with beautiful surroundings and top-notch facilities. We will definitely be back and highly recommend Banyan Tree Samui to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable holiday!

The hotel is very secluded and on a hill side, so you need a golf cart transportation inside the resort and to get out of the resort you have to pay for their taxi service or to get to the resort entrance and order a taxi from an app

We spent a week at Banyan Tree Koh Samui in late October to early November for a couples’ escape, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Our Pool Villa was beautiful and spotless, with plenty of privacy, an easy 5/5. Service was the standout. Tak and the team seemed to read our minds: they remembered our coffee order and offered it the moment we sat down to breakfast; after an Elephant Sanctuary visit left our shoes muddy, someone immediately offered to clean them; and when we asked for an ice bucket one evening, they kept topping it up without us ever having to ask again. Truly top notch and worthy of 5/5. Breakfast overall was very good (4/5), with lots of fresh, high quality fruit and a solid variety. Compared with similar luxury resorts it is just shy of exceptional; a couple more made to order or rotating signature items would push it over the top. The beach setup and service were great too, easy to get loungers and quick help when needed. We also used the gym a lot and it was always clean and ready to go, with everything neatly stocked. Check in and check out were smooth, the buggy service around the resort was efficient, and WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay. All in, we loved the calm vibe and the thoughtful touches from Tak and the team. We would happily come back. Villa 5/5, Service 5/5, Breakfast 4/5.

Staff, amenities, room cleanliness

As usual for Banyan, the property was beautiful but it was the excellent staff which made our visit so special.

Wonderful and relaxing family vacation. Breakfast buffet, infinity pool, private beach, delicious food and beverage, beautiful views were particular standouts.

We’ve just returned from a 1 week stay at the Banyan Tree Samui. It is a wonderful hotel. Before we booked we looked at reviews and were a little worried about things others had highlighted such as being overlooked or the level of maintenance. Honestly, I’m not sure why other reviewers made such comments! The first point about being overlooked is moot, the villas are so well laid out that you would only be overlooked if someone had binoculars at hand! The maintenance point, every day we saw people maintaining the villas, the common areas, the focus on keeping the villas in top condition is visible! As for specifics of our experience, from the size of the villa, to the breakfast, activities, food to the staff, we would give all 5 stars. We would specifically like to call out a few people, firstly Golf, he is an absolute asset to the group. He was amazing in his engagement, communication and just general customer service. We felt so happy to have his support during our stay. As it was our anniversary my husband planned a private dinner at the beach. We were fortunate to have Melon helping us that day and she was absolutely fabulous. Her customer service skills were exceptional, she never interrupted or intruded on our meal but was there when we needed her! She also took some beautiful pictures which we weren’t expecting - these little details matter when you stay somewhere like the Banyan Tree. All in all just a lovely experience and we cannot recommend the property enough!!
