This Hollywood-inspired reminds of the old film noir detective movies. The interior design is consistent with the old classic golden age of Hollywood. In contrast, the rooms were dated with old carpet and no microwaves. The bathroom is extremely spacious with two sinks. However, the shower has a handheld hose that produced a weak stream of water. This property charges a $33 per day resort fee and $40 a day parking fee. There is a designated parking garage adjacent to the hotel property with in-and-out privileges using the hotel swipe card. Unfortunately, the room card can get demagnetized if it makes contact with credit cards. Therefore, you can get stuck trying to enter or leave the parking garage. A plus of staying at this hotel property is the convenience of restaurants. There is also a train station within walking distance. My dog and I walked around the downtown area and felt safe. I highly recommend staying at this location during the fall months: The fall foliage is amazing. Overall, this is an extremely nice hotel in a great location. If you plan to visit Multnomah Falls or go to the North American Big Foot Center, Hotel deLuxe is a cool spot to stay for 2-3 nights. Disadvantages of this hotel are $33 per day resort fee, $40 a day parking fee (separate garage location) and no microwaves inside rooms.

I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Deluxe, though there were a couple of minor hiccups. On two mornings, the shower water was lukewarm at best, which was a bit disappointing. However, the front desk staff was incredibly responsive and quickly resolved the issue by moving me to a new room. Their attentiveness made a big difference and showed great customer service.
Aside from that, the experience was fantastic. I especially appreciated the Tesla charger in the secured garage across the street—such a convenient perk for EV travelers. The hotel’s overall ambiance and charm definitely made the stay memorable. A solid 4-star experience, and I’d definitely consider staying here again!

I’ve been staying here for years. Still a great experience, but it is in need of some refurbishing. Carpets are getting worn. I also miss the valet parking. Doesn’t feel quite as deluxe when you have to park your own car and schlep your own bags up the stairs.

Inside the hotel provided a nice Victorian feel. However, outside the hotel there is a lot of homelessness around the entire downtown area (not just limited to this hotel). As long as you are aware of this, it's a great place to stay. We still walked around outside the hotel as there are many places to eat nearby, within walking distance.

A location just outside of town that offers a local welcoming with the glamour of the 40s and 50s. The Driftwood bar has been featured in several movies and tv shows. Have a delicious brunch at Gracie’s . This season my favorite thing is to spoil myself with their high tea.

I realize it's an older hotel but heating is pretty basic need. The thermostat read 55 degrees by the time I left. I was told they were working on it but my stay was two days! No heat for two days! The paint was also bubbling and peeling in the bathroom due to no fan. Not a good stay this time.

On the positive side, the staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was comfortable and the room and hotel is very clean. It is nicely decorated with classic movie stills from the 30s and 40s. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the holidays. It is within walking distance of great shopping and restaurants.
On the negative side, I heard water trickling throughout the night when it was raining. There is a vent in the bathroom near the ceiling and it may link to the outdoors as it was quite chilly in the bathroom and there is no heater or fan in there. Also, the shower head is quite high making this 5’2” woman having to stand on her tip toes to adjust the water spray.
I’m sure most rooms have a nice view of the city, but unfortunately mine had a view of an alley and the adjacent building wall.
Overall, I’d recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in a beautiful Northwest city.

I was not expecting the room i had received. It was smaller then what I had wanted and thought I choose. The parking was somewhat okay. The over all atmosphere of the hotel was nice, friendly staff and was always welcoming. Every night we were there there was always a party of some sort happening, very lively. The cleanliness was something that was off putting. The bathroom wasnt the cleanest and the windows were very dirty. The glasses we had also had stains on it. ugh. it just wasnt up to par as the advertisement was listed as

I stayed at Hotel deLuxe in downtown Portland for three nights last week, and it was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel’s vintage Hollywood decor was unique and inviting.
My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The bed was great, and the overall design was well thought out.
The on-site restaurant and bar were also excellent, and the location made it easy to explore the city.
I highly recommend Hotel deLuxe for a great stay in Portland!

Beautiful hotel with unique features and great staff. Staying during slow period some amenities were missing. That being said it is one of our favorite places to stay in Portland. Will definitely stay there again!!
