Samsara is one of the beliefs held by Hindus, especially the people of Bali, about the stages of life marked by various ceremonies and traditional rituals that lead to the belief about the duty of life as a human being in repeated births towards perfection.
The Samsara Museum is a living museum. A warm and open space that guides every friend who comes to enjoy the beauty, wealth and celebrate the cultural values inherited from their ancestors presented in love and joy. Located in Jungutan Village, Karangsem, Bali, we will be in an area of two hectares with a shady green and calming atmosphere. The energy of the Universe is abundant, so many lessons can be learned and uploaded. Here, friends who come will gain experience and knowledge about various rituals in the life cycle of Balinese people. There is an introduction to various upakara along with their tools and supporting accessories as well as the meaning behind each symbol. The flow of experience on a trip to the Samsara Museum will also invite friends who come to learn how to make upakara tools, make arak, bamboo weaving and many other fun experiences.
Friends who come can also see firsthand the various plants needed for upakara that are cultivated along with the necessary explanations.
One thing that should not be missed is the experience of being in the museum kitchen and preparing traditional food presented during ritual celebrations, including tasting the megibung atmosphere (a typical Karangasem meal together) which is full of a sense of kinship.
All experiences on the journey to enjoy the Samsara Museum will feel more complete when you are in the garden which provides a space for interaction between friends who come. And pleasant memories of the museum atmosphere, not only to be stored in memories, but can be taken home along with various works of art and handicrafts.
