Raffertys Resort

The place was beautiful 2 storey. Relaxing and serene views off voth balconies. Friendly staff who made it a lovely stay. I didn’t want to leave. Your iwn home away from home. I'll be coming here whenever I can.

Cobwebs everywhere. gutters outside full of plants and debris, leaking, mouldy and rusty. Wood trims in bathroom are rotting. Cockroaches dead on the floor and live ones coming out of the sink and cupboards. Other small bugs all over the place too. No useful utensils like a sharp knife, scissors or cutting board but they give you 10+ metal straws and a bunch of salad serving utensils…. Flyscreen broken doesn’t roll on the track. No internet despite the ad saying they have it. Lounge is just cushions on a build it platform that sits approx 10cm off the floor. It’s extremely uncomfortable and hard to get up from. Aircon cannot be changed for zones so it’s either on for everyone or off. Upstairs gets much hotter than downstairs and doesn’t cool down very much. There is giant triangle windows in the upstairs bedrooms that allow a lot of sun in and there is no blinds on these windows, it doesn’t help with the heat and trying to cool the rooms down. I would not stay in this cottage again. It was a waste of money. However, the resort itself was nice, lady at reception was kind. Lots of pools to choose from, nice gardens to walk though. There is no walkway, so you have to walk on the road which is dangerous especially when you have a pram and kids.

We had a 2 bedroom and it was fantastic has everything we needed. The grounds and pools are great and reception staff. I just wish they had a coffee shop cafe on the grounds of raffertys to get food and snacks. The tavern staff are absoutel horrible I would not go back here, so rude and unaccommodating

Pros: lovely gardens and pools. Cons: very limited supplies in cottage; uncomfortable lounge; inconsistent air con (freezing downstairs and hot upstairs); second upstairs bedroom without blinds; garage not located at cottage; reception staff at check in didn’t explain anything - eg. where to find cottage or that the garage was located further down the hill.

What an amazing place. Beautiful view of the lake from the restaurant which also had very nice food. The villa/loft was very comfortable roomy , and very clean. The grounds it self was beautiful with an island like vibe. The pools so nice. Absolutely stunning. Highly recommend and will be returning soon in the near future.

We recently stayed at Raffertys Resort and unfortunately the cottage we were given was very old, with a strong enclosed, mouldy smell that made it uncomfortable to stay in. The garage was locked, so we weren’t provided with a car space, and parking around the resort was quite difficult to find. Communication was awful — I sent several emails before our stay and received no reply, which was really frustrating. The pools were lovely and well-maintained, but only opening from 9am was a bit inconvenient, especially for early risers. There was also nowhere onsite to buy a morning coffee. On the positive side, the tennis court and facilities were great, and the BBQ areas were clean and enjoyable. The water sports activities looked fun. Overall, the resort has potential, but the accommodation, communication, and some key amenities really need improvement.

Lovely resort, the staff were friendly, the pools, tennis courts and grounds are well kept. Beautiful location on the lake and convenient having the tavern and boat hire right there.

Great accommodation for family stays. Clean and family-friendly.

Good young man who helped get our key at late check in at 1.30 in morning he had just finished up catering a wedding lucky as the phone number didn’t work for the lock box code

The location on the resort grounds is excellent. The rooms are large and have space to put luggage. The main bathroom is large & has a bath. If you have small children- the stairs are very steep & narrow- be mindful of this. The kitchen was large in size- only crockery provided no condiments. The airconditioning seems to be locked on 1 setting- however there are extra blankets in the cupboards. Balcony is beautiful & lot's of wildlife to see. There isn't any parking outside the villa- you need to park a good 5-7min walk away. Again with small children/a lot of luggage this can be an issue. Overall clean stay.

Another enjoyable stay for our family at Raffertys Resort. A great location to rest, relax and spend time with our family.

Great short stay, just the mattresses within the 2bedroom cottage that disappointed.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom loft cottage. It was lovely and spacious, comfy beds (although I would suggest bringing own pillow). The garden's were lovely and nice pools. The tv in our cottage was in a strange position, ie not in front of the lounges which was a bit frustrating to watch. The restaurant was also being renovated during our stay so no-where to eat but there was a range of courtesy buses available to pubs etc. But all up nice place to stay.

Clean and spacious room. Amazing facilities for the kids.

The setting was amazing, location beautiful but was glad we only stayed two nights as the kitchen was average. It seemed that the crockery, cutlery and pots and pans hadn’t had a good clean in a while and there wasn’t any dishwasher tablets to remedy.

Very easy and relaxing

We had booked accommodation with raffertys months ago, providing full details of the current guests, including two young children. Yet what was provided was not child friendly. We made this clear to the reception and felt like the feedback was not acknowledged appropriately. Did not feel like our booking details were even taken into account when being designated a room. The access to parking was not great either. How can guests park anywhere close by with very limited parking anywhere and no access to the garage?

Lovely spot. Rooms are a little tired and are missing a few things, but it was good.

Relaxing

Check in staff were amazing. We got an awesome upgrade. The apartments are awesome, really clean & have everything you need. The 4 pools & numerous tennis courts got a bit of use (mainly pools) loved that both rooms had an ensuite. Overall definitely would recommend.
