Fabulous room in a gorgeous old pub. Very clean and spacious. Staff were warm and welcoming. The Indian cuisine was outstanding.

Stayed here overnight along the Great Victorian Rail Trail and it was lovely. The place is closed on Mondays so I received a text with all check in information etc which was easy to follow.
Room was lovely, shower pressure amazing. It would be nice to have sugar for the coffee, but that's a minor issue. Takeaways a few minutes walk for dinner and overall glad I stayed here.

The gentleman who showed us to our room was lovely and friendly . It’s a beautiful old heritage building and we were lovely comfy and felt safe . Sure it could do with some attention but “ hey “ don’t we all need that at our own homes . Over all a very pleasant stay and we will return as soon as we can . Thankyou 🙂

Starting at check-in all doors were locked and no sign of where to go or park, a man appeared after about 15 minutes walking around the property and he showed us to the bungalow joining the main house. We entered the room it was like walking into a freezer, many places we have stayed have the heater on to give a welcome warm space. We managed to stay warm by have a small electric heater to warm us and the AC on high. There was a A4 size sheet with the internet details and a good size smart TV, but the internet for the room didn’t exist, I spent some time trying to find a solution and staff in formed me that it sometimes doesn’t get out to the bungalow. The continental breakfast was ill prepared empty bottles break that look like it was left in the original packaging and used by previous visitors no juices it didn’t say welcome and the mattress was very soft. The area outside the door had a lose rail and poor lighting
We had dinner in the restaurant and managed to get a spot close to the fire the only heat source in the room. Felt the meal was overpriced but okay and everyone complained about the cold in the room. Lastly I had to request that the allocated parking space be made available by staff moving there car. Staff were polite and friendly but the manager needs to lift the standards
I would not recommend this venue, apologies to the staff that as said were polite and friendly

Check in was indicated as 2 pm to 5 pm but on arrival at 3.30 pm no one was in attendance. Fortunately another couple arriving were contacting the personnel and were given details to open the key safe for their room key. [Note: Room bookings are are identified by name eg ....vila/suite, but keys are numbered. Therefore, if no staff are in attendance and two or more couples obtain keys via the key safe, finding the correct room and key could be a process of eleimination.]
Notwithstanding the rate quoted though Wotif was less than the charge debited, this was rectified quickly when I found a staff member.
We had trouble securing Wi-Fi and TV was limited to the "7" network stations.
The bed was comfortable, the room clean, secure & quiet. Breakfast was of a continental style obtained from a buffet table.

Disappointed in the cleanliness & organisation of the property. Shower floor dirty, shower head leaks, unclean linen. Kitchen was in a disarray, and DVD did not work.

Lovely room bed super comfy , could use a small table and chairs for ease of eating breakfast . Kettle and toaster were a bit too low for us older guests to use well . Perhaps a taller toaster/ kettle table . Beautifully quiet room .

This is a quaint little place to stay with easy parking, great food and drink, and very popular with the locals (means it is great). Only problem was the breakfast - stale cereal, and while there was a toaster, butter, jam etc, no bread to toast. So while it says "breakfast" there isn't anything worthwhile. It may have just been that we were the only ones staying that night. No one to ask anything in the morning.

The room was dirty, the shower was full of mould so we couldn’t a shower before we left. The toilet seat was broken so it was repaired with black tape. The air conditioning sounded like a washing machine so no sleep. Scared to turn bathroom lights of fearing electrocution and a few more things that scared us. I have photos if required, In over 60 years of stays this one was the worst. We stayed in room 1.

Can’t comment on staff - no interaction.
Self check-in and check-put process straightforward.
Access was via an external staircase between bins and laundry cages. Not particularly welcoming.
Overall feel was more like a Euro backpacker hostel than a 4* hotel. Reinforced by the self-serve breakfast bar circa 1970. I wasn’t brave enough to touch that.
Room was basic and outdated. Inadequate lighting, missing lampshades, fly screen with holes, dodgy ceiling patch, dusty tv remote (probably due to having only DTV), kettle but no mugs/tea/coffee etc, streaky mirror, mini fridge with a lone beer - which may have been left by the previous guest?
Bedding and towels were clean though, thank you.
I would not re-visit, nor recommend as a 4* hotel.
Promoted images are outdated and deceptive. Room 3 does not even feature; which I now understand. Please don’t allow for their guests to book without full disclosure as this may continue to damage your ratings.

Please fix the curtains in the room (broken). Could present bathroom a bit better - e.g. 2nd toilet roll, nicer shelving (the current ones are pretty worn out), door hooks... Remote on heater/split system was out of battery, please check next time before guests check in.
Understood the restaurant was closed over 26-28 Dec and no breakfast was available. The 'continental breakfast option' was quite poor... we didn't eat there - no room to sit down. Perhaps just don't include it in future offerings.

Room #2, Bed & Bathroom Nicely Cleaned. Double shower Very Nice. Husband had a good sleep on the bed. No access to balcony from our verandah room, must leave & lock your room to go down the hallway to enjoy verandah.
Verandah could use some love and attention, but lovely place to sit & grab some sun. Breakfast cereals, continental breakfast left in landing, not great in this day & time so we didnt eat. Very steep stairs to enter if elderly, but great if you need a night whilst travelling
