Keefer House

This place was immaculate. Looks brand new. Door security was incredibly helpful and kind.

The WHOLE Hotel is a VERY CLEAN facility, well located, staff is ALWAYS pending of your needs. REALLY loved the Hotel

Everything was perfect!

The place is well maintained, had nice hand written note waiting, cozy, nice and roomy. Security at night is friendly and trendy lounge next door and around corner Chinatown. Walked to the area and ate some tasty food. But be aware this is area that is high vagrant population. Parking garage is across the street in an outdoor covered multi level, and get a code to park in a gated gate on top floor and has security. The suites do not own the parking. We parked late at night twice and elevator shut down, code did not work and had to walk down five flight of stairs. This is if you need to park, but easy access for uber or lyft access.

Sketchy area but good food surrounding it. Hotel is fantastic if you’re just going to be out and about during the day. Has overnight security, which tells you something.

Clean, comfortable and quiet. The perfect place to stay while in Vancouver. It is in Chinatown, so you may have heard not to come to this area, but you should. So much history, architectural gems, and small locally owned cafes and restaurants. We did not feel unsafe at all. The furniture, fixtures and details were very homey but also luxurious as well. They have all the amenities one would need in an apartment. The hotel has good accessibility with two elevators. We stayed in the three bedroom apartment which worked great for us, but be aware that two of the beds are very close to the wall, so when sharing a bed, getting to the other side would mean scooting there on the bed. We had no problems there, but it could be an issue for wheelchair users or people with limited mobility. I would stay here again for sure and would recommend it to friends/family.

Hotel room was very nice. Brand new decor and very nice layout. Gym in building was great. Coffee brewing equipment in the room was appreciated. Bed was excellent. Neighbourhood is developing but has some excellent food and drink options.

The unit was spotless and very well equipped. The location is my new favorite in Vancouver. Very close to everything and right next door to a fantastic cocktail bar..

Amazing place! Rooms were modern, well equipped with all the amenities you could want. Access and check-in/check-out were so smooth. Location was easy to access and close to everything you need.

The place was beautiful

Kitchen had everything, including several ways to make coffee. Nice lounge and big TV. Very convenient washer and dryer. Comfortable bed and good closet space. Nice bathroom. Excellent communication with staff

Keefer House is for people who want to feel at home while away from home. I was so impressed with how clean & stocked up the room was. The room was beautiful & comfortable. There is no front desk but Juan who works onsite was super helpful along with the remote staff who helped guide my stay. Can’t wait to stay at the Keefer House again!

This place might feel like it’s in a shady area, being near some parts of Chinatown with a large homeless population. But once you step inside you feel safe and in a luxurious space. The pictures of this place are incredibly accurate, so much so I don’t even need to upload photos to prove it. It feels like you’re living in a high end apartment in the city. With a fully functioning kitchen, a washer and dryer, and amenities easily found for cleaning I can’t say enough of how amazing this place was. I would definitely come back here again when I visit Vancouver once more. Also, though the staff were not physically present with a welcome desk or anything, they are very responsive and communicate well through emails and texts.

Absolutely fantastic!

We would recommend Keefer House. Clean, quiet, very comfortable bed. Our only negative comment is that due to the number of drug addicts we were not completely comfortable walking more than a couple of blocks but Keefer House was very upfront about the neighborhood beforehand. Some very interesting history to the building and parks nearby.

The rooms are great, no issues there. My issue is the 'self-check-in experience', as they put it. It is cold and impersonal, and even a bit scary in fact. The bots (I assume) respond immediately to text messages. But, there is no one in the building, except for an imposing security guard in a bullet-proof vest (he was nice though). Even though I had paid upfront, I had to re-enter my credit card at online check-in. Not only that, I had to upload a photograph of my passport and a selfie. Very likely, this will be sold to AI companies for their training algorithms. Expedia and other booking sites should include whether or not a hotel is run by bots and which personal information is needed for check-in.

We reserved a 2-bedroom apartment at Keefer House because it’s within walking distance to Rogers Arena, and a better deal than two hotel rooms. While the location is great for restaurants and pubs, we wondered about security after dark. We’re happy to say we felt very safe with the security measures in place. We loved the keyless coded entry to the facility, the elevator, and our apartment. The apartment itself was spacious with a huge modern kitchen, sparkling clean, and well appointed with all the appliances, including full sized washer and dryer. The free coffee beans were a nice welcoming touch. We didn’t miss the front desk of traditional hotels since our communication with our hosts by email was fast and efficient. The staff members are gracious hosts, to say the least. We enjoyed roaming through a part of Vancouver we’d never seen before. We hope to stay at Keefer House next time we attend an event at Rogers. Any down sides? Don’t expect a nice view if your unit faces the alley, but it’s relatively quiet away from street noise.
