Just stayed at the E&C for an overnight in Holmfirth. Room was spot on no issues really, a little dusty in places but nothing to worry about. We enjoyed our stay in the village and the pub was perfectly located with lovely little bars just down the road. We had breakfast too and this was lovely, we were asked what time we would like it as it's all cooked fresh, at 9:30 it was there beautifully cooked, perfect. We only had one drink in the bar at the end of the night but there was a band on, and the atmosphere was very friendly. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit. In terms of parking we managed to get one of the many bays they have which are dedicated for those staying overnight.

Very friendly staff right in town Nora Barry’s house literally across the road and around the corner to Sid’s cafe ,room was lovely bed comfortable and charging ports in the bedside lamps . Well presented breakfast very tasty would definitely stay here again

The staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was perfect in every way. The walls are thick so no internal noise. The free breakfast was excellent. Oh and the dedicated parking space just topped it off. Highly recommend this pub as a place to stay. We stayed in room 2 with the queen bed.
Oh and lastly, the Guinness was the best I'd had in Holmfirth 👍

We stayed last night, not realising it was Pride Weekend. The pub had loud entertainment on all day, not finishing until late at night. This was our first trip to Holmfirth so we were hoping for a quiet, peaceful weekend. Parking was great, straight at the back of the hotel and this mornings breakfast was really nice. Our room was quite tired and not great value for money.

This is basically a pub with rooms but it was great. Our room was a good size and very clean. Having on site parking is a big plus especially in Holmfirth. Very good breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed for one night our room (2)was really lovely massive comfy bed plenty of space for clothes. The bathroom was beautiful. Staff very helpful. Breakfast really nice .can't fault it to be honest .the pub downstairs was terrific with a good choice of beers wines and all spirits.would we stay here again?yes in a heartbeat 10/10 from us

If you are visiting Holmfirth, the Elephant & Castle is the absolute best place to stay! The staff are so attentive and really make you feel welcome. Autumn was fantastic when we arrived, helping us settle into our rooms right away. The rooms themselves are clean, fresh, and well-maintained. We loved the breakfast setup—it’s included, made to order based on exactly what you want, and served fresh at your chosen time. The pub also has a brilliant selection of local beers and top-tier service. I highly recommend staying here!

What a lovely hotel , parking spot for each room , check in was easy and the staff what can i say polite , friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
As for the breakfast, one of the nicest i have had .

Let’s start with the location - right in the centre with parking for those that stay. The room was perfect, (this is a pub not a hotel). The manager (Wayne) and the bar / beer were just what we wanted.
Great breakfast to start the 2 hour walk.
Would we stay here again? YES
