This is basically a pub with rooms but it was great. Our room was a good size and very clean. Having on site parking is a big plus especially in Holmfirth. Very good breakfast included. Would definitely stay here again

We stayed for one night our room (2)was really lovely massive comfy bed plenty of space for clothes. The bathroom was beautiful. Staff very helpful. Breakfast really nice .can't fault it to be honest .the pub downstairs was terrific with a good choice of beers wines and all spirits.would we stay here again?yes in a heartbeat 10/10 from us

Great pub right in the middle of the village. Comfortable spacious room , well thought out , long mirror , dressing station etc. Reserved parking . Super friendly staff and locals really enjoyed our stay.

If you are visiting Holmfirth, the Elephant & Castle is the absolute best place to stay! The staff are so attentive and really make you feel welcome. Autumn was fantastic when we arrived, helping us settle into our rooms right away. The rooms themselves are clean, fresh, and well-maintained. We loved the breakfast setup—it’s included, made to order based on exactly what you want, and served fresh at your chosen time. The pub also has a brilliant selection of local beers and top-tier service. I highly recommend staying here!

What a lovely hotel , parking spot for each room , check in was easy and the staff what can i say polite , friendly and nothing was too much trouble. As for the breakfast, one of the nicest i have had . I will be back . Thank you

It was perfectly situated in the centre of Holmfirth with easy parking individual to your stay. The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Our room and ensuite were stunning

Absolutely superb place to stay , great central location, parking within walking distance, beautiful property, well maintained, super friendly staff and a first class breakfast.

Let’s start with the location - right in the centre with parking for those that stay. The room was perfect, (this is a pub not a hotel). The manager (Wayne) and the bar / beer were just what we wanted. Great breakfast to start the 2 hour walk. Would we stay here again? YES

Access to the property is a problematic at present due to major road works and road closure. Parking is an issue at the property; however, there is a 24 hour long stay car park within a 10minute walk but obviously luggage has to be walked across as well. Newly refurbished room and bathroom - clean and simple. Adequate breakfast freshly cooked. Above a pub so busy. Good staff and service

The room was spotless and had a great view over the river to Nora Battys house. Full English breakfast was excellent as always . All staff very friendly and helpful. This is our 5th time staying here and will definitely be back . Thank for another great night Elephant and Castle team :)

Room not bad could do with a good clean ,? Staff ok, was informed on checking in that there was no Breakfast, gave us £20 bar tab, it would have been curtisay to inform us beforehand. Might have stayed somewhere else. Cafe across road for breakfast was ok.

Room was beautiful ,spotless and well equipped. Very big comfortable bed . Excellent location.Easy safe parking. Fuss free check in and check out . Delicious breakfast , all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lively comfortable bar area . Can’t fault it at all we have already rebooked for May and can’t wait to return to lovely Holmfirth and the wonderful Elephant & Castle .

Check in was easy & we were shown our room & where everything was. We were asked what we wanted for breakfast & what time. The breakfast was very good & prompt including toast & either tea or coffee. The location is very central & within walking distance & has a car park which made things easier. The only downside which was beyond their control was the 17 weeks of roadworks nearby which confused the sat nav. Definitely would use again. The bed was also one of the comfiest I’ve slept in for a while.
