Laguna Hotel

The rooms are comfortable with good linen and pillows. The style is dated as are the bathrooms but the place is cheap and cheerful and the kids love the pool which is always nice and warm.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone by one simple and important fact about how dirty the toilet was very dirty, had to go shop and buy bleach to clean it before using or allowing my kids to use it, as I was cleaning the toilet there was food pieces ( looked like vomit ) it was just bad for a hotel standard. Staff was really welcoming and friendly loved that.

An older style hotel, close to town centre. A little on the noisy side at times, but we got a very good price and overall it was fine.

Lovely friendly helpful staff. Clean room. Very dated and the locks on the doors were very old style. Bed was awful wobbled hard creaky. Paper thin walls you could hear everything for miles

Being on the ground floor, the room above had very creaky floorboards and was very noisy, had to put toilet paper in my ears so i could sleep. Have stayed here several times but always been on an upper floor. Will bring earplugs next time incase

Hotel was great ,staff very friendly had parking 15 minutes from town. Plus bonus of swimming pool.

This hotel is very dated and not for the under 70’s it had no bar open no service at reception and no facilities except a frezzing pool we was in a family room on the 3rd floor and thought we would go back to the hotel after walking to town around f 15 min walk and have a drink there well we went back at 8pm and there was nothing open and no one around so we was drinking water from the bathroom tap aa the kids was tired and didn’t want to walk back to town the bathroom was hideous had no water pressure and was tiny the place e needs a real revamp as we stayed there around 10 years ago and nothing has changed just got older and more dated sorry but this is an honest opinion and would definalty not be returning as for the bar being g closed my husband was not happy having to drink water in a Saturday night and going to bed at 9 we didn’t have breakfast because to be honest we just wanted to leave there is no way this should be classed as a hotel the walk to town was a bit scarey as there was 2 underpasses we had to go through and it was very dark we got a taxi back.

Very friendly staff pool was great for the kids also not far to walk to shop.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and peaceful. We were the only ones in the pool and the water was nice and warm. The best value for money! The staff were extremely kind and friendly too and the breakfast was delicious.

Carol was very helpful...she opened up the swimming pool and jacuzzi for us...nice smile on her face..sorry we didntvsay goodbye to her.. Milli the waiter in the morning was just lovely and attentive...breakfast was hot and plentiful The room was warm and cosy...the showers were hot..teas and coffee was provided...clean towels on demand if needed...loved the free parking...the hotel is set in really lovely, well kept gounds....we found the games room...up the hill are buses into Poole or Bournemouth..theres a Pemier shop also upnthe hill for your supplies...and the Laguna had their christmas trees up, will definitely go again...thank you for having us...

Toilet never flushed and bath was filthy

The staff were friendly and helpful. Full marks to Sam in the bar.

Rooms and hotel was good breakfast ok entertainment sort of pool area very poor and gym was none. Overall 2 - 3 out of 4

We stay here often to visit my wife's mother in Westbourne. Every one is very friendly. The bar is very reasonably priced. Beds comfy and their prices are very reasonable. It's not 5 star but when you only need a bed for the night it's perfect. Yes the hotels a bit tired in places. If you want to pay twice the amount go 5 star but here is good.

Firstly the positives: the room was warm, the shower worked well, the breakfast was good with very attentive waitress service, there was free parking and it's in walking distance of town. However the hotel consists of a number of random buildings and I suspect in a former life it was a university hall of residence. The whole site needs updating as it is very dated and tired looking, but if you need cheap and basic, this is the place to go.
