Olympic House Hotel

I recently stayed at the Olympic House for 8 nights in mid-December. The location is excellent. A few minutes walk to Paddington Station. A few minutes walk to Hyde Park. Every space in the hotel is immaculate. It’s family owned and I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and saying hi to her most mornings. Breakfast was efficient and adequate. I won’t hesitate to stay there again.

Way better than expected, spotlessly clean, recently renovated and quiet. I will be back!

The hotel is in a great location about seven minutes' walk from Paddington Station, where you can catch several Underground lines, the Elizabeth line, the Heathrow Express, and national trains. Because of the Elizabeth line and Heathrow Express, it's super easy to get to the hotel from the airport and vice versa. The area around the hotel and train station has plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, coffee shops, and convenience stores. The hotel has a helpful staff and an elevator and is clean. Breakfast includes toast (with butter, jam, Nutella), cheese, ham, cold cereal and milk, hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, pain chocolate, canned fruit cocktail, coffee, and juice. The cheese (cheddar?) is amazing. A staff member OK'd my request to stay in my room about 45 minutes past checkout time. The one caveat is that the shower was so small that every time I moved, I hit the thing that controls the temperature of the water, so I had to keep adjusting it.
