The hotel was what I expected.

The room itself was ok it had a small kitchenette with a toaster fridge microwave and electric hob all clean and all worked however there were hardly any utensils 2 knives 2 forks 1 dessert spoon and one teaspoon a couple of big plastic spoons for stirring and dishing food there were no scissors no tongs no fish/egg slice for fried eggs, odd glasses no chopping board no knife to cut cheese or other food products no tea towels to dry pots maybe that’s something to look at if you better equip your kitchenette, heater tank immersion heater tank so waiting for water to come out was almost like a drip very slow had to boil the kettle instead, the worst part for us was the noise from the main road it was just too busy from early morning about 5.30am (they do advertise that you can buy ear plugs) but really if you know it’s noisy and could disturb sleep which is part and parcel of hotel experience they should be provided, or invest in soundproofing windows (there was construction going on across the road from hotel which added to the extra noise but that’s not the hotels fault, I believe this hotel had in its time the likes of Laurel and Hardy, Bob Hope and other stars back in the day as it was a top billed hotel they should emphasise that more very near BCLM and Dudley Zoo but just wasn’t for us but has potential if they invested time and money to what I have written we would probably stay again.

Excellent kitchen facilities in the room

Room was ok

A pleasant room overlooking the new tramway, with fully equuipped mini-kitchen and tea/coffee. Comfy bed and good towels. Problem with heating on second day, was sorted by helpful staff.

The hotel was very nice and clean on the ground floor until you get to the dirty stairs. Everywhere needs hoovering, the rooms aren’t clean. There was no shower gel, tea, coffee and the tv didn’t work. It was very noisy. I wiped up some water in the bathroom with a towel and the towel was black… there was food from previous guests on the floor and under the bed, and they need to mattresses and bedding. And was offered no refund or anything for that matter and they still forgot shower gel after it being requested. Lovely place just needs a clean and some money spent on it.

Room was cold , staff was curious

The booking was not honoured. I booked and had a confirmation for a triple room. On arrival this was not possible and was given a double and a single room - splitting up the party. I had the single room and my two friends had the double. The bed in the single room was right up against the window which was very drafty. I was cold all night. The milk, tea and coffee supplies had not been replenished, there was no milk at all in the double room and some random teas. Breakfast tea and regular coffee was minimal in the double room with no coffee at all in the single room. I was very disappointed with the receptionist at check in who wasn’t at all bothered that the booking was not as it should be. I have taken the email address to contact the management .

Clean room all you need and value for money with kitchen/microwave As per other posts a bit of noise from traffic and small TV on wall. Overall hotel room fine and as expected.

The hotel is not clean, I doubt anyone ever checks after the cleaners. Despite knocking and calling no one responded when I returned early morning to the hotel. The main entrance door was locked and even Hotels.com could not reach anyone at the hotel

Just what we needed. We were a family group visiting The Black Country Museum/Dudley Zoo and the location was great..just 10 min walk. Free parking and friendly staff/easy check in. Its not a luxury hotel (seemed to be a mix of worker's and tourists) but it was clean, and beds were comfy, water pressure in showers good. We had the suite which comes with 5 double rooms, two bathrooms and a living/kitchen area. Perfect for us...already looking to come back nearer Xmas. :)

No tea coffee. Sugar no clean towels. No spare quilt. Room cold ...otherwise ok.

Easy quick check in, quiet and comfortable, would book again

Dust on the windows and these people locked me outside and I knocked and knocked, even hotels.com tried to call and no one picked up

Room was a little grubby. No toilet roll in the bathroom. Loads of noise outside due to railway building works. No clear directions as to how to actually get to the hotel as road was shut, no advance warning that this was the case. Took another 20 minutes to negotiate the diversion. Blinds broken and didn't shut out noise or light.
